- The 7 express line rapid transit service in the A Division of the New York City Subway provides express service along the full length of the IRT Flushing Line. It operates between Main Street in Flushing, Queens and 34th Street - Hudson Yards in Chelsea, Manhattan.

I was going in the red bird in 2002 because I was going in 59st to 161 yankee stadium now 2003 I was going to queens boro plaza to meet my dad but when I looked at the trains it doesn’t look like an red bird I was like maybe there is a new one coming but there wasn’t so I took a non red bird train when I was at queens boro plaza there wasn’t an red bird so I meet my dad first then came back and I watch the news the Redbirds were gone in November 3rd it was going in the 7 line for its last stop I cried so hard I miss red birds😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🙏🏽💔😭😭😭😭😭

Sorry for all the questions recently but how did you get that nice view! Did you pay the operator to let you in the front or did you do something else?I'm not really good with trains.
+Riott TB Actually, a few sets of R62As on the 7 have operator's cabs that only occupy the right 1/3 of the front of the train. The other 2/3 is open to the passengers and includes a front window! :D
When are you making more of these
DJ, do you know why the trains at Hudson Yards always end up at the opposite track of their direction? For example, Manhattan-bound trains always end on the Queens-bound track, and Queens-bound trains always start on the Manhattan-bound track. Seems very counterproductive to me.
+Nogoodnms Both tracks are used for both directions. If one track is occupied, the next arriving train will switch to the other track. There's no directionality for the tracks at Hudson Yards, since it isn't a through station.
How come that was the only R62A 7 train on the line? Every other train that passed was an R188! The MTA should take pride in their old subway cars. They aren't useless you know. And nice catch, DJ! How do you get the cab view?
+Tonyboy515 There were more R62A 7 trains, but they were behind this one. Some of the R62As have half-width cabs that allow passengers right up to the front window.
+Dj Hammers Oh, I am so used to the R160's and R68/A's on the Brighton line... I never see half width cabs.
