This effect includes all the critters such as Chaurus and Chaurus Reapers, as well as vampires, making dungeon crawling, particularly in Falmer camps, a hell of a lot safer. Of course, once you reached High Hrothgar and have it on your map, it is the work of minute to regain the perk once it expires or cancels out (accidents happen).
