I can't understand why Toyota puts so much (cool and awesome) technology in their cars and then chooses Scout as the GPS for their platform! Scout is so behind current GPS technology!
Correct... but the other annoying thing is that it won’t stay on the map display, the map will ultimately go back to the home screen. At least on mine it does.
What kind of requirement do I need to have real time GPS? It said it requires my phone to be connected, but it is connected. Is there a speed requirement for the cord? Fast-charging, etc?
2021 Corolla. Followed your instructions EXACTLY. Have Scout GPS Link downloaded to my Samsung A32. Got in the car with the Scout Link running and started the car. After the head loaded, I pushed the "APPS" button. The screen showed "WIFI" only. I shut my phones Bluetooth, waited 10-15 seconds, and turned it back on. After two MINUTES, the head unit STILL HAD NOT CHANGED! Why is this such a pain? I can run Google Maps on my phone much easier or make a call through the car no problem but the Entune System SUCKS!
Is there a way to tell it the destination address verbally? On my phone I can just say "Ok Google. Navigate [blah blah blah]" and it knows that that is the destination address.
QUESTION: is there a way to make the information in the display bigger when it comes to looking at traffic? Seems as if it's zoomed out but would prefer if it was zoomed in so that it would be easier to read. Thanks!!
It is 2017 in this video. Why is it so slow and crappy for GPS???? Can you just get an app to screen mirror your phone as that would be 1,000 times better.
Does Toyota EnTune have to be running for this to work? I am an IT tech and I have exhausted myself to connect my GPS Link connected to the car workout using USB. I'll try this Bluetooth disconnect and reconnect. Hopefully that works. I'm so sick over this 😜
Your toyota entune has to be on at all times for scout gps to work and also it has to be connected through a USB cable as well. Also Change batteries setting on your phone by turning off battery saver, that way you won't lose connection in areas where network may not be as good. Sorry for late response.

Geez! Talk about a hassle just to use navigation. Most other major auto manufacturers just use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. What a load of garbage just to use GPS

Apparently I dont have the navigation option on my 2017 corolla. when I push audio I also see a car button , no apps button.
