I’m a British expat now living in the US, I had 45 years of healthcare through the NHS, I gave birth to 3 babies and I did not get a bill after. I never got billed for my Dr visits, and my prescriptions were set at a low price no matter what was the cost of the medication. It’s a lot different now I’m in the US, healthcare should be affordable for all Americans.
I’m an American living in the UK and my experiences with the NHS have been nothing but amazing ! I am so grateful that I live in the UK !

There are a lot of Americans who don't want to "pay for" non-whites to have healthcare.
My late husband was a Viet Nam vet. He volunteered to serve his country. First tour he was in Airborne Infantry, and was sent into over 300 hot zones. He came back to the US for Special Forces training then served in Viet Nam for a second tour. He died suddenly in 2005 due to symptoms from Agent Orange exposure and is interred in Arlington Cemetery, My stomach turned every time Trump stepped onto that hallowed ground. Trump is the Loser, not our veterans. Our veterans loved this country so much, that many made the ultimate sacrifice. But many thanks to all of you for protecting us at home and abroad.
Also thank you, Joe Biden for the PACT Act to help veterans and their families. Throughout his lifetime my husband went to the VA and was denied coverage because the government would not admit to the damage caused by Agent Orange. Biden changed that. I wish my husband had lived to see it.

Sadly this isn't true. Australia doesn't have universal healthcare. Its a semi-private. I know because I also live in Australia. We have to pay for private health insurance every month otherwise we pay increased tax in the form of a Medicare levy. And you cannot see a dentist in Australia without private health insurance unless you want a gigantic bill at the end of the visit. Medicare itself has been buckling under pressure as many doctors have stopped allowing bulk billing thanks to the far right government of Scott Morrison underfunding it. Most mainstream doctors in Australia are poorly trained and not open to new research. I had to go fully private to get the treatment I need for my health problems. Sure its not as broken as America's healthcare system. At least we can choose our health insurance providers. But I'd hardly hold up Australia's health system as a paragon for other nations to strive for. I wish Australia had truly universal healthcare. I'd be saving thousands of dollars per year.
