I have never been to Death Valley, it is on my wishlist! If you head back south, there is some great dispersed camping west of Las Vegas. Off Pahrump highway there is one called Lovell Canyon that I love. And, if the weather at low elevations is hot, Champion Rd (about 7000ft elevation) off of Lee Canyon Rd on Mt. Charleston is 20+ degrees cooler and has wonderful views. Both are pretty popular, but not as crowded as Lake Mead and Red Rock, in my experience.
Oh thank you so much for the info! I will make notes in our Nevada atlas about those spots. We’ll check them out next time we’re down that way! Death Valley is very much worth the visit. I was surprised at how easy it was to get around the park in our rig, and it truly is just one incredible view after another. I hope you get there someday! Great to chat with you! 😁

It is an unforgiving place, indeed! I’m very glad we had a chance to visit when the weather was perfect (in April), and we had a full tank of water in the rv. Thank you for the word to the wise! 🙏🏻
