I've always thought cab-overs were the best looking trucks. My dad loved them. His favorite he ever had was 1977 Freightliner , brown/tan, 13 spd I believe, and a waterbed. Daddy absolutely loved that truck❤️
I think that they’re more valuable when they are original. I know in the bike world it’s possible to destroy the value of an old classic bike by giving it a fresh coat of paint. The buzzword is ‘patina’!
Cabovers rule! 🥰 This rig was quite appealing! The honor is in the details! It’s nice to have original parts and all, but it did look like some extra effort could have been given to those badges. Patina...well, that’s not for a classy cabover ! I like the adapters for the fenders...a good idea. Gotta take pride in that American ride! Yeah, that’s my opinion, but sometimes there’s only one way to do things. Good stuff! 🇺🇸🥰
I actually like that old Freightliner badges were kept in their current condition. Little bit of character is all old Trucks have left when you restore them completely
Drive one, go to california and back to texas, then tell.me you love it, it will best you half to death, try dressing laying flat on your back in the sleeper, if you can even get your fat but up and over the dog house to get back there , t
@@stevenhuckaby2902 I'm very well aware of the ride and confined space but I'd rather be in one of those than the pieces of shit plastic trucks available today there's only two TRUCK mfgs around anymore in my opinion and both are owned by paccar and those are the only two brands I buy
I like the red K-Whopper truck with "Boomerang" shaped windows on its doors, and a big sun visor over the windshield. Maybe the trucker likes to go to the baseball games. K-Whopper is my favorite truck. Mack (Bulldog) is the other one.
Beutiful Cabover lots of work put in to it , I just Which they had taken a little of more into the small details like the Freigthliner logo & the insulation under the cab ... I don’t have the money to pay someone to do the kind of work but sure the little things I done to my truck I make sure they are detailed finish, 10-4
John Sargente Even if you couldn't find em, redo em. Blast em , Polish em a little for the letters and hit em with the tape and whatnot and respray the black area. Probably take someone a couple hours not being in any particular hurry.
Remember how we all complained about the cabover ride ? Wow that 81 k100 I started in was like a buckin bronc . A 7-800 mile day felt like 12 rounds with the champ !
Had a Rollins lease single bunk Aerodyne in 1983. Company didn't know any better and ordered Reyco suspension. Beat me to death but I looked good. My first truck with radial tires and Budd wheels. One of my better memories.
These newbie truckers today say cabovers rule...their happy asses need to be zip tied to a Hendrickson "I beam" suspension for a month and let's see how he walks and talks
Looks nice ! He is going to change the roached out Freightliner emblems ? All three should have came off before painting and replaced with new or customize the old ones . Scratching my head over here in Reno over this one !
just get the back of the step inserts coated with spray on truckbed liner like armaguard. lasts forever and no damage no matter how many times you kick it. might even be able to get it colored.
It's nostalgia everyone longs for the good old days I love seeing old cabovers still going up n down the road. Then I thank God that I won't ever have to drive one again. They beat the hell out of you.
Get rid of that visor and bumper and 8 of the cab lights. Replace the visor with a smaller one and the bumper with a bout a 16 inch one and that would be a beautiful truck.
The builder didn’t miss cleaning up or replacing the badges. No builder that completely restores old vehicles misses something like this! I think he left the old crusty ones alone as a tribute to the trucks history?
Beautiful canover. The trouble with the Texas bumper is if you hit a deer on the left or right side of the bumper. That bumper goes right into your steer tire and you have nowhere to go except wear that tires are pointing.
Don't do it. I came over from England with the same idea. American trucks are outdated pieces of junk. In some instances the only safety feature is the seatbelt! Stick with European - much more modern and comfortable.
I don't like the Texas bumper, Don't care for the green and white, To many marker lights on top of the cab. But at the same time it's a nice looking truck over all. To each their own chose.
I know what hes talking about. @kiwi Jacko This is a 20 or so year old truck that he clearly wanted to clean up an make look nice but is still going to work it, skimming the frame rails would have been shit ton of work, I think considering the truck most likley wasnt torn apart completley, depending on what he paid that is, its not horrible. The paint on the cab looks alright.
I'd love to have a cabover with a 500 hp Series 60 swap. The swing up bumper looks pretty sweet for what I do. I'd buy a 1000 cu ft Polar cement tanker with in-cab air switches for the dome lids and product valves. I could do my spread jobs without having to get out of the cab. And I wouldn't have to drive that worthless automatic T680 POC I am driving now.
Do Americans still use these truck in transport business? (Cool if so) Or are the rebuilt done just to put it in own private collection/museum? I must admit my sympathy for the trucks started with "Terminator 2".
I personaly hated this front end on freightliners my faorite was my 1976 the whole truck was nicei loved the diamond tuck and the dash before they put that cheap rattling thin plastic one
U guys do great work but I feel like u jumped the gun on the revealing, you have insulation hanging down on the back of the box and the freightliner badges are junk other then that I'd say it came out pretty good but this is the internet and we all know there are plenty of critics 😎
Ain't nothing like a classic Cab Over........ 👊👍
I see those old cabovers from time to time
when out filming the trucks. They're nice..👍
I've always thought cab-overs were the best looking trucks. My dad loved them. His favorite he ever had was 1977 Freightliner , brown/tan, 13 spd I believe, and a waterbed. Daddy absolutely loved that truck❤️
I'm not a trucker but that's one beautiful rig.
Damn that's a good ass cabover freight shaker
Real nice 👌
Nice freight shaker
Another nice touch would have been to tidy up or replace the crusty looking corroded freightliner badges
Thanks for watching Philip.
Philip, I thought the same thing. Otherwise it looks great!!
Took the words right out of my mouth, was going to say the same thing til I saw your comment.
I respectfully disagree. I think it adds character to it.. kinda hints at its true age. This is my dream truck
I think that they’re more valuable when they are original. I know in the bike world it’s possible to destroy the value of an old classic bike by giving it a fresh coat of paint. The buzzword is ‘patina’!
Always loved cabovers. Haven’t seen any on the roads in years. Until the other day
Cabovers rule! 🥰 This rig was quite appealing! The honor is in the details! It’s nice to have original parts and all, but it did look like some extra effort could have been given to those badges. Really love the old cabovers. Good looking cleanup job.
Awesome video on redoing cabover truck
Absolutely a beautiful rig
I actually like that old Freightliner badges were kept in their current condition. Little bit of character is all old Trucks have left when you restore them completely
gotta love the old classic trucks and the old school look

very nice truck. love that you left the aged emblems on it. does its age and keeps some the original look.
That there is a beautiful rig!!!! Thanks for sharing.

Looking good
0:06 what kind of suspension system is that and is it useful on work trucks?
Beutiful Cabover lots of work put in to it , I just Which they had taken a little of more into the small details like the Freigthliner logo & the insulation under the cab ... Jada Transportation i agree
2:08 All that fit and finish and nobody thought it was a good idea to redo the Freightliner badging?
Should have replaced the Freightliner emblems. The old oxidized logo plates look horrible. Otherwise, nice job.
John Sargente
Even if you couldn't find em, redo em. Blast em , Polish em a little for the letters and hit em with the tape and whatnot and respray the black area. Probably take someone a couple hours not being in any particular hurry.
Can you powder coat those?
@Cobb Knobbler or just slackness spend all that effort and leave the badge look like chookshit nah laziness
nice clean workable rig without a ridiculous stretch, just the way I like them
Glad you like it Joshua, thanks for watching.

Wanted to see its interior
Thumbs up liked for you.
nice truck
Definitely gonna subscribe to your channel
Cest un très beau carmion
Looks nice ! He is going to change the roached out Freightliner emblems ? All three should have came off before painting and replaced with new or customize the old ones . Scratching my head over here in Reno over this one !
IMO, the only paint scheme for cabovers should be BJ & the Bear. 😉
I like the way the cab tilts back a bit... or I'm wrong.. I like cabovers
has more lights than a christmas tree :- º
Sharrrrrrrrrrp.Like those colors
why the Freightliner logo not shiny
just get the back of the step inserts coated with spray on truckbed liner like armaguard. lasts forever and no damage no matter how many times you kick it. might even be able to get it colored.
One question, what year and model is the cabover?
hermoso camiòn 💪✌🚛🚚👍👌⛽🚦
Great job on a great lookin rig!
Why arent the FREIGHTLINER plates front and side cleaned up?
framfull it adds character and shows its age.
Great job on the Freighterliner. How do we find yall, I want to custom out a K100. Thank you
Thanks for watching Everette, check out 12 ga. customs.
Why everyone likes this trucks my dad in love with them what’s so special about them
It's nostalgia everyone longs for the good old days I love seeing old cabovers still going up n down the road. Then I thank God that I won't ever have to drive one again. They beat the hell out of you.
All that work and did not replace/restore the badges. That just blows the whole rebuild. Looks cheap.
Nice loved
That's all the aesthetic stuff, how about the motor ,transmission and rear-ends ? All that shiny crap makes $ without a solid base.
Love Cabovers.
Get rid of that visor and bumper and 8 of the cab lights. Replace the visor with a smaller one and the bumper with a bout a 16 inch one and that would be a beautiful truck.

Fix those badges! Dam I'm pissed!
Nice truck over all. To the haters keep your words in your mouth. You'll probably look better.!!!
It looks awesome! But with all that work you couldn't match the wipers.
I’m in real love with Cab over semis they are sexiest and Unique.
I don't see many cabover semi trucks around anymore.
that one sexy cab over I'd drive that thing anywhere great job guys I'm a new subscriber as of today thanks for sharing
Thanks for your support Les! Glad you liked it.
How many miles per gallon please ?
What's the function of the moving bumper on the truck in the intro ?
Ground clearances
Bu araç piyasada çalışacakmı?
The rusty bolds on the back of the mirrors.
why are you worried about the state of the badges, I'd be more worried about the state of the driveline and chassis
Correct, The ol saying, "Chrome don't get ya home".
It would have even looked cooler with the freight liner round headlights!
Why didn’t you use new or refurbished freight liner emblems?
Beautiful canover. The trouble with the Texas bumper is if you hit a deer on the left or right side of the bumper. That bumper goes right into your steer tire and you have nowhere to go except wear that tires are pointing.
so this truck actually works ? like you can actually drive a full load and go over the road like regular truck and put 2500/3000 miles a week ?
I am trucker from Europe Belgium 🇧🇪 I love American trucks... Born in the wrong country... How can I drive in the USA...!!!!???
Don't do it. I came over from England with the same idea. American trucks are outdated pieces of junk. In some instances the only safety feature is the seatbelt! Stick with European - much more modern and comfortable.
Keeping the badges patina was clearly the owner’s choice. Come on guys, does it look like they spared any expense or overlooked any details?
I don't like the Texas bumper, Don't care for the green and white, To many marker lights on top of the cab. But at the same time it's a nice looking truck over all. To each their own chose.
Thanks for watching Richard.
Beatyfull 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍👍👍👍😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
No inside pictures? :(
dope
Thats what we like to hear, thanks for your support!
+Hot Rod Rigs TV Thank you Guys.. Awesome Footage
who was the painter? who ever it is take that spray gun off them
Kiwi Jacko it doesn't look that bad.
Cool truck but polish the freightliner emblems .
Damn no interior shot??
Nice truck, too bad they did not restore the Freightliner emblems. They look bad and out of place- weathered and tarnished.
Sound insulation falling down under cab. FIRE HAZARD.
Nice truck the guy sounds drunk thol
Do Americans still use these truck in transport business? (Cool if so) Or are the rebuilt done just to put it in own private collection/museum? I must admit my sympathy for the trucks started with "Terminator 2".
Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost
And tuck the damned insulation back jeeze
You should have redone the emblems
I personaly hated this front end on freightliners my faorite was my 1976 the whole truck was nicei loved the diamond tuck and the dash before they put that cheap rattling thin plastic one
Would look better stretched
The cab isn't sitting level tho
Should have worked a little harder on the frame rails before you painted them. Half assed work makes the bling seem stupid.
Not to be a know-it-all, but that’s an FLB B110064 T, not a Classic.
да все хорошый авто америке
The Dealer bilt this truck a certain way do not alter it it's not a Hot Rod if it's not broken do not fix it. One more do not slam Trucks
I can’t believe you didn’t show the interior! Extremely disappointed!
He didn't want to show the lot lizards
@@jd291 Haha, good ole sleeper creepers

Those arent clearance lights on the bumper they are chicken lights wooop
No engine or interior shots? 👎🏼
Nice Rig. All that pretty stainless steel and the Freightliner enblems look like sh#t?
y'all dropped the ball on the freightliner emblems!! way to go by repeatedly showing them
Not even a peek on the inside...shame
Totally impractical lol.
Too much chrome
actually start the fucking truck so we can hear it run.....ffs
Ruined.
What about the inside? Why wasn't that shown?
