Jari!❤️ The 94/95 season was the first season I really started watching football, and Jari was my favourite player back then. Shame he was injured a lot, especially at Barcelona and Liverpool, but he was absolutely world class! Still one of my favourite players ever.
Too bad injuries got him. He was as good as Xavi, Zidane, etc. With Finnish national team he always played at the same level than during 1995 and few years around it. Too bad we didn't qualify to Euro's or World Cup.
As a Finn I loved his game. He was a midfielder with a lethal touch in the area. He and Sami Hyypiä opened Europe for Finnish players. It's a pity his time in 'Pool was pretty short.
