The best centre forward I've ever seen in my life. Never switched off always first to react to a save a deflection a rebound. Always in the right place for a pass or cross. Always seemed to have space in the box and had the skill to make space. First touch was excellent second touch was usually a goal. His off the ball running was as relentless as it was intelligent and the only thing quicker over 10 yards was his brain. The way he could dig the ball out from under his feet and get a sweet contact is underrated the way he could chip the keeper from 10 yards is too. Never scuffed or miss hit a shot he was surgical with his finishing and he would go in 50/50 with his head. As a striker he was pure devastation. 🔥
@@elmarnigmatullin4490 He hits it with such power and accuracy that even if the keeper guessed correctly they wouldn't saved it. Only time i knew he changed directions was against Newcastle and Arsenal which he hit the bar in the EPL.
His chest control skill was underrated. When people talked about Ruud they talk about his positioning and his finishing but rarely say anything about chest control who was as good as Fellaini.
And his hold up play and strength to hold off players to allow the midfielders and wingers to push up he’d get it out wide to them and run into the box and get on the end of everything Scholes and Beckham kicked in towards him lethal

Ruud's heading ability is so underrated and never discussed much. The amount of power he could generate on a ball that had hardly any pace on it (and many times was just a chip up) was astonishing. Most other strikers would barely reach the keeper with some of those efforts, never mind land it in the net.
it was an honor❤ to see him manage us for just a few game unbeaten!🤩 He was such a good player in the 2000s for Utd just a shame he fell out with Ferguson🥲He loved the club so much💗 One of the greats🐐
van Nistelrooy had everything you wanted as a striker. PSV had many great strikers in the passed, like the two Brazilian mega stars Ronaldo fenomeno and of-course Romario. And for the Dutchies of-course Luc Nillisen :)

A hero of kids following Man Utd in the early 2000s. Sad he didn't find the chemistry needed to play with Rooney and Ronaldo. He deserved more trophies with United.
Ruud was my childhood hero! 3 times CL top scorer. Absolutely lethal!
I only really followed him with Man U. Loved his style with that transitional misfit team. Didn't realize he scored so many CL goals.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy vs Thierry Henry, they are both of beauty EPL 2001-2006 the best striker!

The first goal perfectly explains why he's my favourite striker of all time (with Ronaldo de Lima). So fast, so on time, so calm. Pure magic.
His first 2 season at United, he was lethal ! Team playing style really suit him, when Becks left and Ronaldo came, Ruud became less effective
The way Beckham linked up with ruud was something else ,with his timing and movement combined with Beckhams consistent delivery it guaranteed goals
