Thank you for this video. Although You should have done it more in UEFA with the missing associations of Gibraltar, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Israel because in football terms they are from Europe.
Actually “Black Stockings” started to play as football club in Istanbul-Kadikoy in 1899 and this club closed due to presaure and the same people played in the name of Fenerbahce FK. İn 1907 name is registered. So oldest football club is Fenerbahce. (I am Galatasaray fan) However Pera Spor Club is established in 1877 by Greeks and still this club is in Istanbul Turkey. While first years only Greeks were playing after Republic is established Turks were added to team. So it is officially active and club now. Pera has chamoionships before federation is published in Istanbul regional league now it is Amateur team however still exists.
Segesta is the oldest club in Croatia, you should check your facts. It started footballing activity few months before Rijeka, and it also never changed it's name or format.
Stupid Communists got rid of Zrinjski so it doesn't count in his list which is pretty stupid. I'm wearing a Zrinjski Mostar Jersey right now and it says 1905 and 1905 was the year it was founded. There should be 3 Croat clubs on this list not 2. ZDS
I'm a Bohemians fan so I appreciate the shout out! We are the oldest club in Dublin, but I believe Athlone town are older than us, they were founded in 1887!
3:41 there was never an Austro-Hungarian league system. Auatria ans Hungary where always independent from each other with regards to football. There was just a unified cup (the Challenge Cup, that was played 1987-1911 and actually predates leagues in both countries, but is considered an international competition)
looking at the 2 parts 2 federations didnt appear so im putting their respective oldest clubs: Faroe Islands: TB Tvøroyri founded in 1892 Gibraltar: St Joseph's FC founded in 1912(despite the league being 16 years older than the club!)
In Poland, Lechia Lwów is the oldest football club, it is founded in 1903, but in 1939 the club didn't exist anymore because of the Soviet Invasion on Poland.
To people saying No Beşiktaş is the oldest club in turkey! No Galatasaray was bjk was a Gymnastics club for 2 years when Galatasaray was founded Galatasaray was a football club bjk transferred to a football club 2 years later
Yeah there are quite a few bosnian teams that are older than Željezničar, I mean Zrinjski Mostar was founded in 1905 so I think that's a bit older than 1921
@@Anarchidi He is not saying "found in Turkey" he is saying "TURKISH" club. And those 3 clubs are all obvious Greek clubs. So don't try to be a smartass before reading the text with your mind.
but besiktas founded as a circassian club called "Bereket Gymnastics Club" in 1903. after some political events they moved to marmara region and changed their names into "Besiktas Ottoman Gymnastics Club" , so they became a turkish club after 1910.
Why did you leave Armenia, Georgia, azerbaijan and Kazakhstan out of this list? They all are in UEFA. P.S. also you should work on improving your pronounciation of eastern european, especially slavic club names, because you often misspeled. For example j letter in most of those languages doesn't sound as "j", but "y".
As a 52 year old English guy, most of us know this. Sarajevo is pronounced sarayavo and I must say the younger generation infuriate us as well as other Europeans. It's down to laziness by the younger generation, us older people know better mainly through history. There were many other words that were butchered and I got second hand embarrassment over....... In Romania the oldest club is Csickszereda Miercurea Ciuc which was founded in 1904 and plays in the 2nd division.
"Csickszeredq Miercurea Ciuc" Fantastic name

That's what I thought. Segesta never changed its name
Estonia: FC Meteor Tallinn is now Jalgpalliklubi Tallinna Kalev
For Romania you failed to consider the clubs that were founded in Austria-Hungary and still compete today, like Csickszereda or CFR Cluj.
Oldest club in Bosnia is Zrinjski 1905 where did you get your info

2:48 I gotta correct you on that, even tho Slavia was infact founded first there is evidence that Sparta started playing football before Slavia did
please make video oldest clubs in each Asian country
11:20 there is also Dacia Unirea Braila founded in 1919
Isn't CFR Cluj (Romania ) founded in 1907 ? it's literally in their name.
it's actually Csziksereda
In 1907 Cluj didn't even exist with tha t name. The City was Kolozsvar and was part of Hungary.
Cluj is in Transylvania, and in 1907 Transylvania was Austro-Hungarian - so it was for the Hungarians/Austrian
the oldest slovenian club is nk nafta (founded in 1903)

In Faroe Islands it is TB.
I am confused. If the oldest club is folded, than it is no longer the oldest club?
those are his guidelines
makes no sense, theyre still the oldest club to ever be formed in the country

If you are being honest, Apollon Smyrna, Pera Club, and Panionios are older clubs that were formed on Turkey.

It may be, because theoretically it's the continuation of the PNIŠK... and it is not technically dead. It still exists.
