@@jason-qr8sq Its south-east of the Forest Zone: Center access point. Run towards one of the machine training grounds in that direction and you should be able to jump up the stone to a higher platform with a chest. Use the scanner there and there should be an elaborate gadget.
So you only need 5 (to upgrade the third pod). Two are from the hidden drops, the other three should be farmed, and this is where it gets tedious. The spawn was for me around 5% (1/20). I used the forest castle chamber, save your file, run to the left, pick it up, do you get it? Yes, save. No? reload the game from where you are. Rinse, repeat. Expect anything between 1 to 5 hours to get the 3 gadgets (average 2-3 hours).
Too bad you need 10 gadgets to upgade both bots. Just better to download save editor and get materials without grinding. Some game mechanichs are too outdated for a 2017 singleplayer game. More like 2007 korean MMO or something.
The fastest way is to just jump out the window if you don't get it, and immediately fast travel back to the royal chamber using the forest castle: front access point
2:06 is a godsend, despite the hidden draw point activating like 5% of the time.... oh and I also heard you can get like 2 elaborate gadgets by beating lv40 of the hacking minigame. Yea, I'm also one those people who realized too late and completed 'The Wandering Couple' sidequest without realizing you can farm elaborate gadgets as long as you dont complete the questline. Bit of a grind actually. But thanks for the location of that hidden draw point. :)
i'm just new to nier automata using nintendo switch and so far I'm loving it despite the open world being smaller than BOTW, find the game deeply moving and entertaining that I fell in love with it. I rated Legend of Zelda BOTW as top 1 but now they go along side by side as my top 1 favorite. Now my question is, how do you get your POD to search treasures like that especially ones you can't normally see just by going near it?
I wish I understood how rare the drops were from the video…after reading the comments now I’m understanding that these are locations where they can show up after many hours of trying.
Wow!!! Very rare indeed!!! I feel like I’m fishing for that one fish I’m missing…so many poor fish have been sold in my quest to catch them all (I think I only need 3)…I’m a millionaire, I need to find a shop to buy what I need!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Question, how are you doing this because when i choose chapter select it only allows me to choose the charcter that corresponds to the chapter. when i pick A2 the tower in the middle is always there and the landscape is altered. And, when i try to farm the elaborate or simple gadgets all i get is all kinds of other things. I tried saving and reloading the game but once the gadgets are collected, they dont respawn at all for me. Any adavice would help.... Thank you.
Finding the gadgets is extremely rare thats what makes so valuable. It took me a couple hours just to get 1. Also i dont think you have to be A2, im pretty sure you can check the same spots with 2B and 9S. They WILL spawn its just super duper rare. Also they wont respawn if you keep teleporting back and forth. I always reload game every time i check regardless if i got one or not. Best spot imo is the royal chamber where you fight A2 first time.

I have literally been farming 3 of these spots (Near Factory, Near Tower and Royal Chamber on my complete story with A2 for over 100 runsl and I'm yet to even get 1. The last one I fucking need for my pod upgrade. This is borderline bs

Can confirm you get 3 simple gadgets, 2 Elaborate gadgets and 1 complex gadgets for level 40 of Arcade challenge mode.
You can farm then at colleseum rank 3 its a low chance but by far the best one
I got the elaborate gadget by doing the 2nd sorting trouble quest by the resistance camp. I did it as A2. The reward gave me 5 elaborate gadgets.

You need the scanner move. You unlock it after flooded city fight. Its part of the main story so you can't miss it. 😊
a pod program called scanner, devola popola will give it to you in search for missing 9s

Spend 4 hours going to king chambers and city ruins , getting simple and complex instead of elaborated gadget😅😅😅

A while. They dont spawn 100% of the time but they do spawn there.
