New York City 9/11 Rainbow - and Tribute in Light

- EarthCam captured a storm that hung over New York City which broke just in time to create a rainbow over the city on Monday. The spectacular sight took place as New Yorkers marked 22 years since the September 11th terror attack on the World Trade Center. As the rainbow faded away, the Tribute in Light, a commemorative public art installation from dusk to dawn on the night of September 11, lit up the skyline.
the night before was an intense thunderstorm. lasted for hours. that morning was clean fresh air. a day seared into my brain.
I’m 45 minutes away from NYC and I heard it too! One of them was so loud, it literally shook my house

September 10th 2001 had a rainy thunderstorm that lasted hours. and on september 11th 2001, clear sunny blue skies, those two same days kind of represent the weather in this video

I never understood why the tribute in light is located so far away from the actual standpoint of the Twin Towers. I mean I get that it's too much effort to place them on the memorial fountains, but not even roughly in the same region?
Exactly the lights should be around the memorial

Breathing ashes and blackened soot,

I realized I had lost my shoes;
I staggered barefoot up the street,
In a rain of paper sheets;
