Goodnight Mr Mundo, you do an accurate and detailed weather report always. I live in Jamaica and you not only give reports for the island but you break it down by parish which is good. However why is Jamaica labeled on your map as Kingston. 😮 Savanna la mar had a good shower of rain today (Saturday )so you were right on point.
Hello! The labels are a mix of big cities and smaller countries. Kingston is so well known, most know that it’s Jamaica. When I zoom in, you’ll see more cities in that area. 👍-Rusty

Rusty I'm viewing from the com. of Dominica in the Caribbean. There has been the occasional showers and some hot and sunny periods. Tonight looks like it will be moderate. Thanks for great reporting
Greetings Rusty. I love updates about the weather a passion I had from a tender age. Something I have observed throughout the years, the Saharan dust. It would be I interesting to find out data on Saharan dust 10 even 20 years ago. It prevents storms from developing but it also suppresses rain, something thei islands desperately needs.
Your analysis is spot on. Saharan Dust can be a big factor through July, then dissipates as we really hit the heart of hurricane season. -Rusty

I am from MCALLEN, TX and canceled my cruise to the Bahamas from JUNE 24 to JUNE 28 because I SUFFER from Vaso vagal syncope (faint when nauseous), and I was afraid I could get ill due to the rough seas. Do you think I MADE a good decision? I really wanted to go on my first cruise ever!

new kingston not a drop of rain. a few times i saw some clouds but they just went away as quick as they came. new kingston is dry and hot.

It’s a factor yes. Just a lot of instability in the atmosphere, and intense daytime heating aids in that. -Rusty
Are you thinking a hurricane will come by Cancun on the 29th of June?
WAY too early to get into specifics. Nothing that I’ve seen makes that wave that strong if it develops, which is no guarantee. The higher likelihood is at least another big tropical moisture plume and some wind over the Yucatán. I’ll be monitoring. Thanks for your question. -Rusty
