Well, I took your advice and tried my first Vortex scope. Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16x42. Put it on a brand new mini-14. Shooting a one inch group at 100 yards with factory ammo. Nice scope for $199.99. Every bit as good as my $300.00 Leupold Freedom scopes.
