The song's angsty grunge vibe really fits the rock production well! You did a great job with this. Could you maybe make a rock version of 'Look What You Me Do', preferably with those little riffs heard in the recent The Eras Tour performances of the song?
I love this! this is one of the few rock versions of pop songs that I've seen that genuinely captures the spirit of the original song while still doing something new. most rock covers from other people basically turn just it into a whole other song, which I think defeats the purpose. but this one does a great job of adding new stuff AND staying true to the spirit of the original. bravo! will definitely check out your other rock versions of different songs :) EDIT: I'd also love an instrumental of this! I think it'd be so fun to bust out at karaoke

I could not get into this song as from the original dubstep version but this is amazing through this pop rock version. Definitely support and love all your rock versions, this is totally awesome and outside of Taylor's comfort zone and her label companies as well.
Not outside her comfort zone at all ... in her live shows she totally rocks up some songs .. including this one and We Are Never Getting Back Together and Bad Blood. She has an excellent live band, and her guitarist Paul Sidoti is a great rock player. The live rock versions are so good I don't know why she doesn't do a rock album.
@guitarpaul3645 I thought the same because from listening to her red album, speak now, and fearless album I thought they they had a moderate pop rock sound so I think she could do it. I guess Taylor is just going through a pop phase which she could do some rock infusions kind of like The Veronicas if she wanted to or not. Taylor seems to have big heart in rock punk music
PLEASE DO: Don't Blame Me (Rock) Getaway Car (Rock) We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Rock) Bad Blood (Rock) You Belong With Me (Rock) ME! (rock)
I'm passionate about your work, it's perfect and amazing. I Knew You Were Trouble is my favorite song! But as a fan, I think it would be cool to use "Taylor's Version" because of all the issues that go with the songs.
@@mattsrockversions I love what you do, you have a lot of mastery in what you produce. If it's not too much to ask, I could do a version of Message in a Bottle one day, that would be awesome! 💛💛💛
LOL, the coincidence - just a couple of days ago I became fixated with this song, I went looking for a rock cover, found another one different than the one I already knew.... heard it, loved it... "hey, this is so good, who did it?"..... and then and only then I realized it was Matt Ebenezer, AKA "the guy that makes kickass rock versions of Taylor songs" : D that's why I liked it so much, I was already in love with the style!
Heard this song in a rock club with a proper heavy rock music with her vocals were amazing. This very tame rock hahaha. Was sad to hear more pop songs in a rock club. No wonder it was dead in there
Taylor really needs to make a rock album
Yes, with Nuno Bettencourt on guitar 🎸❤️
😎
I always search and like comments like this! Let's make our voice be heard by Taylor ^^
Have you looked up her Crossroads collaboration with Def Leppard?

I really hope Taylor finds your work and invites you to create a rock album 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
We desperately need Taylor’s rock album
this is easily one of the best rock cover of TSwift song
Wow! Thank you!

Thank you for the great compliment! Also, uploading instrumental versions is on my to-do list.
I think it helps that the OG version was already pop rock influenced, with electric (?) guitars present.
I love this so much!! Reminds me of her Red tour performance 🤩
why doesn't this video have comments or views OMG this is amaazing!!! I love it, it's perfect!
You, sir, are a wizard.
Thanks so much!

Once upon a time
A few mistakes ago
I was in your sights
You got me alone
You found me
You found me
You found me
I guess you didn't care
And I guess I liked that
And when I fell hard
You took a step back
Without me
Without me
Without me
And he's long gone
When he's next to me
And I realize
The blame is on me
'Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I'd never been
'Til you put me down, oh
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So, shame on me now
Flew me to places I'd never been
Now I'm lyin' on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh
Trouble, trouble, trouble
Oh, oh
Trouble, trouble, trouble
No apologies
He'll never see you cry
Pretends he doesn't know
That he's the reason why
You're drowning
You're drowning
You're drowning
And I heard you moved on
From whispers on the street
A new notch in your belt
Is all I'll ever be
And now I see
Now I see
Now I see
He was long gone
When he met me
And I realize
The joke is on me, hey
I knew you were trouble when you walked in (oh)
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I'd never been
'Til you put me down, oh
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I'd never been, yeah
Now I'm lyin' on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh (yeah)
Trouble, trouble, trouble
Oh, oh
Trouble, trouble, trouble
And the saddest fear
Comes creepin' in
That you never loved me
Or her
Or anyone
Or anything
Yeah
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I'd never been (never been)
'Til you put me down, oh
I knew you were trouble when you walked in (knew it right there)
So shame on me now (knew it right there)
Flew me to places I'd never been
(Ooh) now I'm lyin' on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh
Trouble, trouble, trouble (oh)
Oh, oh
