I think it's so cute when they speak English. Not because they're trying, but it's the way they execute it and deliver it. I also think it's amazing how they aren't afraid to speak a language that maybe they don't know well. Not a lot of people have the courage to do that. I admire that they actually try to reach out to their fans who do speak English. I'll admit I haven't listen to them a lot but so far I admire them for what they do. (Sorry to be kinda cheesy, I had a moment lol)

They definitely understand a lot of English/can speak a bit but not at the stage of being comfortable enough to be articulate and hold a long conversation (i.e. Fluent) I think in a year or two, they can definitely become fluent. I don't think Hobi was throwing shade at all and even here at 1:07, you can see RM encouraging Hobi to continue speaking in English :)
singpraise07 I think they can become fluent faster than that, it could take them even months. English is actually really easy, once you get the hang of it everything else comes naturally, and faster than you can realize you are already speaking in English. That happened to me and I have never lived in any English speaking country. I learned it listening to music, watching TV and videos, and setting my phone to English, and eventually everything became clearer and clearer. It took less than a year for my English to be good enough, and I have been perfecting it since then. BTS already have the basic knowledge, and since they have been recently more connected with the language they will be able to understand and speak in no time.

I'm really thankful that Clevver made a good choice on having Her as BTS's interviewer. She's really nice and treat each one of them fairly..
She always try to add something in when they answer or react to the questions, like.. when J-Hope sings Dirty Pops By Nsync, she helps to continue the song. And when J-Hope was about to get his fidget spinner out of his pocket, instead of waiting in silence.. She showed J-Hope some interest by saying, "Ok.. Show us.. What is it?"
And when V talks about his glasses.. And ended it.. She tried to relate to him by sharing her story about her sunglasses..
And when Jungkook gave a high five in the air from afar, she tried her best to show him that she wants to reply to his high five too..

I think it's so cute when they speak English. Not because they're trying, but it's the way they execute it and deliver it. I also think it's amazing how they aren't afraid to speak a language that maybe they don't know well. Not a lot of people have the courage to do that. I admire that they actually try to reach out to their fans who do speak English. I'll admit I haven't listen to them a lot but so far I admire them for what they do. (Sorry to be kinda cheesy, I had a moment lol)

Milo eo Well I mean RM wasn't lying when he said they weren't fluent. They definitely understand a lot of English/can speak a bit but not at the stage of being comfortable enough to be articulate and hold a long conversation (i.e. Fluent) I think in a year or two, they can definitely become fluent. I don't think Hobi was throwing shade at all and even here at 1:07, you can see RM encouraging Hobi to continue speaking in English :)
singpraise07 I think they can become fluent faster than that, it could take them even months. English is actually really easy, once you get the hang of it everything else comes naturally, and faster than you can realize you are already speaking in English. That happened to me and I have never lived in any English speaking country. I learned it listening to music, watching TV and videos, and setting my phone to English, and eventually everything became clearer and clearer. It took less than a year for my English to be good enough, and I have been perfecting it since then.
BTS already have the basic knowledge, and since they have been recently more connected with the language they will be able to understand and speak in no time.
