K-Pop puts a lot of stress on perfect visuals, to the point of having extensive guidelines of what sort of body and facial structure is acceptable. (It's why idols tend to look a lot alike.) J-Hope doesn't match those guidelines very well, despite being a very handsome man, so haters took every opportunity to attack him and the group for him being 'too ugly to be an idol.' RM was similarly attacked, both on his appearance and on his 'selling out' his established rap career to become an idol.
J-Hope's popularity has increased immensely from that time, though; his Lollapalooza stats prove it. A 105K crowd in person and ~15M more watching via stream; first ever sold-out Sunday performance; over 1M in merch sold; longest set... RM is also very beloved of ARMY and respected through Korea as a lyricist and rapper.

Yes, I am sure they spoke about the incident before when they first reunited. You can tell there was some stiffness in both Jimin and James' before they iron out in front of audiences. Some Army just took things too far and created more hurt and harm than good. Our kings of pop know how to solve issues if there were any and it obvious both James and BTS' feelings were hurt a little and BTS just so graceful and understanding. We all make mistakes in communications million times in our lives. Stop taken things so serious and a lot of Army do act like 15 years old and on power trips not thinking that BTS are grown men who are more than capable of dealing with hates and love. Remember to spread love not hate. Thank you James and BTS for reunited again. I love their interactions.

One thing I know about our fandom is that when you get on our bad side that won't slide because we have seen the struggles of the members and it is very scary when people try to put them down so am not surprised when we become overprotective.

Yes. Army is adorable representative mc's for youth. BTS taught us to love ourselves and others. If we don't live up to that then we are not a true army. So in line with this, we as army should also be loving and understanding and humble just like our bangtan is setting a good example. They will not be UN ambassadors for nothing. No, but James almost breaking down when Jimin didn’t answer his question whether he still is Papa Mochi after 2 seconds and asking him again with a quiver and pleading in his voice… it nearly broke me 😭 Jimin hugging James after the interview and reassuring him is everything… He is such a kind soul..I- 😭😭
As he should. He seemed ether pressured by the reactions of some ppl or just not understanding/knowing what to say. Ether way, we saw Jimin hugging James EVERY chance he got, so its obvious there is a real friendship between the two, dispite all the crazyness some people have given to James.

I felt like they were all trying to make sure James felt comfortable and knew it was okay and the intention was just to clear the air RM calmly addressing the situation, Jimin’s hug and holding his hand, and Jin’s cute comments about watching his show they are so humble and handle everything with such respect and dignity
They tried to resolve this misunderstanding in a light-hearted manner on his show so that it won't linger on. James was slightly teary-eyed when Jimin said "I believe you" and hugged him.
I think it was a harmless joke by James..I think the delivery was a bit off but after all at the end of the day he meant no harm...some are taking it too far and taking things too seriously

@@evagiacon In a video James Corden posted, he said that BTS are "unusual" guests at the UN, and claimed that ARMYs are "15y/o girls". He received a lot of hate after. Some ARMYs believe that he was trying to criticise BTS' fanbase, and some believe it was a sarcasm type of joke. The video where he said these things is already deleted, but I think there might be some ARMYs who has saved the video.
