Thommo, in his twighlight years by this stage, but still bowled a lot of extremely rapid deliveries. Magnificent bowler, along with Frank Tyson, the fastest bowler ever to play the game
Thanks Rhett. This test was a couple of weeks before I was born. It’s nice to wonder what my son would think what sport I was watching just before he was born.
If Norman Cowans had been better managed by his captain, Bob Willis, during this tour, he would, i think, have gone on to a stellar test match career. As it was, he didn't play another test after the age of 25. Such a waste.
The Toowoomba Clydesdale. What a terrific bowler Carl was,but it was Henry's innings. Gee...how stiff was Cowans? Wessels and Hookesy....what an opening pair that would have made.

Disagree. Some of them most short of a length deliveries were barely above stump height. Compared to 74/5 distinctly pedestrian!

Straight in with a Rolf Harris ad. Brutal😂
Another Brilliant Upload Keep It Up
such fan to see these old advertisements.
Love old Beefy Botham having a swing at everything. He was before his time.😂
That intro is classic. I miss that.
1982 bob behind the wicket must have been 41,immaculate as ever
10:14. This was a regular plan the Aussies had to Gower over many series.

Erm... did anyone at Peters know what "Afternoon Delight" is about? (that makes it two creepy ads in a row)
Compared to today it’s great, too many odd like adds today plus you have your gay Mardi Gras and the woke mob, creeps.
Thommo was definitely slower by this time. No way would Botham have hooked him while wearing a floppy hat if it was the '76 version of Thommo.
Kim Mews and Broo Shardley.
15.10 David Gower being David Gower again! Great player but he was infuriating to watch sometimes..
11:53 Richie's favourite score.😅
Jeez, if the theme tune was any longer there'd be no highlights
They could have used DRS back in those days:)
That Norman Cowans dismissal was a dreadful decision!
Yeah the Tavare non-dismissal! That was a clear noise!
Aussie Umpires cheating?
Nah…I dont believe you😂😂
A couple of outrageous decisions in there.

Trust Rolf Harris, sure couldn't.
