Dear Satya, This route is more than 100 years old and it was much more adventurable and beautiful when I was used to travel in my childhood days in metre gauge. During MG, there were more tunnels and bridges as compare to BG now. During every summer vacations in my school times, we travelled from Kanpur To Dharmanaghar (Tripura) every year and i just waited for this highly scenic beautiful view hill section.
That journeys over viaducts on meter gauge...

My brother in law enjoyed this journey about 60years back, I used to listen open mouth. Sir ,still today same is continuing. This is My India. I am also looking forward, when enjoy such journey. Thank you Satya sir for travelling in Vistadome coache of this train..mujhe laga he tha aap sab issi train mein issi Vistadome mein journey karoge 👍😊 now next Target is issi train ko monsoon aur winter mein cover Karo pls...aur usse pahle 14 may ko Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat inaugural journey pe.. 👍 uske baad ek ek baar aap sab Agartala Tejas Rajdhani mein, phir Agartala se Bangaluru SMVT Humsafar express mein aur phir Aronai express(3rd longest train of Indian Railways) mein journey Karo na pls Satya sir, Sandeep sir 👍😊 aur wo sab bhi Monsoon mein he karenge toh achha rahega.. 😊
Well this route was Golden treasurer during metre gauge train time..The most famous train on this route was Barak and Cachar express..NIT Silchar 2015 batch was the last one to enjoy the amazing ride in metre gauge train..Also the route earlier was more sceneric than now..two engine used to carry the bogey and it took almost 12hr journey from Lumding to Silchar..p.s: you can watch old videos of how students of NITS used to travel on the roof of the train in this route.
Ya bro to reach Silchar we use to catch different train specific for that route from lumding.

We should salute Indian Railways. What marvelous routes and stations. Of course one have to pay train fare and food. It is worth. Jai ho Bharathiya Rail. Thank you sathya Bhai. One thing more , I noticed all trains were using wdp4d locos ie locos with dual cabs.
That makes me very happy that atleast in this section , the railways care about their loco pilots.
Bankers were single cab locos but that is oks, bankers just needs to assist,

Try Nagpur - Kolhapur Express. You will explore all interiors of Maharashtra… Single line mostly and diesel section. Changed its loca position 4 times during the journey and you will also visit Kolhapur which I don’t think you have visited yet.

The Brahmaputra is the only male river in India, MATA mat bolo bhai, bura lagta hai 😄. Baaki, the video was great. Indian Railways is doing a great job with these Vista Dome trains.
Flood ki pani se ek lambi train poora gir gaya tha . Ek train ka Engine k window tak jameen k andar gaya . Last year January se hi Assam me khub sare barish hue . Last year mujhe Vistadome me New Haflong tak travel karneka chance mila tha 1st January me . Meri sister in law ki kuch colleagues ki tour cancel karne ne karan se .

Satya bhai, maine iss route mein travel Kiya tha in 1986 from Gau to Silchar Uss samay yeh meter guage tha. Us samay lag bhag 30 se 32 tunnel the aur nearly same no of bridges....
