Best wishes to the Lunds (and yourself of course) at FL2K! Can't believe it's that time of the year already but I've been focused on other stuff. (I try not to but had to edit for grammar, yes I will go take an aspirin)
Better business bureau is not a regulatory agency. They are literally just a directory. No different than yelp. They just have a misleading name and good marketing
There’s a reason ls guys have to use a crank pin kit for stock cranks and aftermarket balancers. Also Alex if it’s not been a year some credit card companies allow up to a year.
Unbelievable that people are so stupid that they can't understand that cutting keys is creating a problem to solve another problem. Sacrificing structural integrity and causing unwanted VCT in the process is incredibly stupid. The entire purpose of the key is to prevent unwanted movement.
Lol...look at the largest (5deg) offset key...it's NOWHERE NEAR the same offset as those chopped up keys. They were freeballing that sh*t hoping it stayed put.
The individuals cutting keys should remove the tires from the rims. Tires are unnecessary since the rims are already round, and the suspension will absorb the shock.
Honda sold/sells race engines in their cars so i build my Ford engines to mimic Honda's way as much as possible. Why doni say that? My SBF has a girdle on the main caps because the B18C has a girdle (3 middle caps are all in one big cast piece). My SBF has a girdle on the rockers because the B18C head has a factiry girdle on the cam caps. And since the cam gears and crank pulley are keyed, then my SBF will have those keyed. Because how many 30yo engines can rev to 8k and survive over 200k miles doing so?
So the statute of limitations on grand theft is 5 years. Also the amount thats owed makes it a 3rd degree felony. Sue his ass and make him pay your attorney fee's when he looses. Even a letter from a lawyer will make him shit. You are fighting the good fight against scumbags in the industry.
lol it's not grand theft though, he paid for a service, motor build, and it did not meet expectations, the builder didnt steal the money for the motor build, it was given to him. This is a civil matter not criminal matter, grand theft is not applicable. A demand letter wouldnt do squat not to mention collecting the judgment is a whole different matter. The small claims court limit is $12,000 in PA where the motor builder does business which is about the amount that was paid to the builder. An attorney probably would not get involved, not enough meat on the bone.
RE: Engine/Cut keys, I'm having a few problems that are similar and have long since grown tired of other people's incompetence constantly costing me money. Other than just venting, I'm hoping there's some form of a positive outcome for your stuff at least. Definitely look into seeing if there's some type of dispute you can file...
I can see in the early days cutting keys before or aftermarket was there impossibly nowadays if you're broke and you're just trying to tinker with it, but I know point in time should you ever have an engine builder cut down a key like that
Bmw s55 n55 n20 have no keys on the crank .. crazyyyyyyy !!!! I have to use a 3/4 ratchet to torque the bolt .. all the components are smushed together

To the guy that said “ most cranks aren’t keyed” when those LS engines go big boy power …. The pulley gets pinned to the crank to prevent ______……
“It’s real to me dammit!!”
Woah there's no front door anymore?! 👏👏
I knew a builder that would shave keys on 4v builds, but he'd tack weld the sprockets to the cams afterwards 😂

Sr went 6.69 at TX2K against Brett so I think he will go a bit faster than a 6.59. Can’t wait to watch.

Gen1 stock OPG 700+ for a while now......
Still blows my mind you can buy cams that are offset and they still cut keys. What's 1000 bucks on a 10k build for the correct part.

I can find a 2020 gt500 for about 67k right now, 24k miles
Question does NASCAR cut keys? I know it’s a much different application.
Alex what is a fair price for a 2017 Roush stage 3 mustang. 14k miles?
Thompson Carol Rodriguez Laura Martin Kevin
More Alex karaoke please.
4 inches??????? Man that's fuckin HUGE
I agree, he's quite generous. My pockets aren't the only thing that is small...
Some might say too big! ...😂
Thumbs up
