I only discovered Rival Consoles a couple of years ago when he was the opener on tour with Clark & Nosaj Thing. They played in Brooklyn and I was blown away. All three artists on the line up were stellar. I went and bought Rival Consoles CD as well as Odyssey and Sonne records at the merch booth. Such an amazing show.

I wanted to like this, but I thought this set sounded bad, was a mess (not in a good way) and lacked any real whomp! Sounds like some keys played over badly recorded loops :(
Ok, I already love the music of this guy. But to see that he play live (like really) not like a lot of artist who dj with there music, one step more.

No one has ever gotten as much mileage out of a synth as Rival Consoles has out of his Prophet.
