I have Miss Poppy in my prayers. I hope that she continues to feel comfortable. It’s so hard when our fur babies are sick, they can’t tell us what’s wrong. I think Christmas in July sounds fun. Thank you so much for the shoutout, it made my heart happy. Knitting has allowed me to meet so many nice people. Crafting has been a great gift in my life. I made granny go round! It was great for some variegated yarn to break up pooling. I think those stylecraft charm skeins are beautiful and an awesome deal. Two balls for a sweater with gorgeous colors 😍. The shirt you’re wearing is so pretty. If the stretch bothers you, maybe do a crochet chain around the neck inside? It might be worth a try 🙂 I hope that you guys have an awesome week!
Your tee your wearing today is beautiful. Nice to see all your projects, might have been tempted to bye the granny go round cardigan pattern. So pleased poppy is doing better, fingers crossed the new medication keeps helping her. Feel better soon, Love and hugs xx
Hello Mandy, lovely to visit with you, plenty of pretty knits. Miss Poppy sound like my Jackson (doggy), he is on the same meds, sleeps a lot n “don’t touch me” but eats well. He has arthritis and this very cold weather is not good for him. He is an old gentleman and yes sad to say that conversation may happen this year. 🥺🐕🐈
The purple sweater you are wearing is lovely! 💜💜💜 So is your granny stitch cover up. Lovely!!! I’m sorry to hear about your kitty, but it sounds like the shot helped her some. 💜💜
I am pleased to hear that Poppi is responding to the new medication. The cats as I grew up were so part of the family. I love the purple top you are wearing suits you so much. The pulling down of the one top was good because it is a test knit for future knits. I like that you have a jar filled with notes of unfinished knits. Go on and finish them. You were so funny sniffing the yarn. I think the smell is caused by the dying process. So long as it doesn't smell like pee or armpit. My twin twin sister had a brain aneurysm about 8 days ago. What a shock and 2 days later they operated and she is on the mend in ICU. She sleeps a lot and when I visit she is asleep. Wakes up and then nods off. Take care keep cool ❤😊
Through the entire start of this episode I was thinking “good lord Mandy, please tell me what you are wearing”. And as soon as you did, it was added to my library. Thank you. It is gorgeous. I’m excited to see how these 40 WIPs go for you. Do you think 40 is your comfort threshold “for now”? Maybe once you are comfy with forty you might venture up a few more? 😂😂 (And after one of our most recent zoom afternoons, I almost feel as though I should say hello to folks that said they enjoy reading all the comments on videos not just their comment. Hi guys!)
How strange. I spent the morning sorting out patterns and yarn for Christmas in July. Mostly small things like socks and a shawl. Ruth enabled me to buy a shawl pattern and some Yarnsmiths sock yarn. Wow it is so so soft. I have Linen drape I bought in um 2018/1029 in a sale. I have tried various things but it is too drapey and heavy so is hidden in the cupboard. I really hope Poppy starts to feel happy again xx
I pray that Miss Poppy gets better. On 30 May I had to put down my little mini schnauzer because the vets couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him until another vet saw him diagnosed him with enlarged heart, kidney disease and a heart murmur. So on May 23 he was diagnosed with all these issues and on 30 May I had to put him down. A veterinarian office with five vets and a new vet that came in finally diagnosed him.😢 Please keep us updated on Miss Poppy
I hope the new treatment plan works for Poppy and that she's back to her old self. I miss seeing her on your podcasts. I have some K&C yarn that stretches throughout the day when I wear the top I made out of it as well. It's really frustrating, but that purple color looks lovely on you.I can't wait for Christmas in July with you and the U.S. Mandy. I just love her podcast as well as yours. Have a great rest of your week!
It sounds like tentatively good news about Poppy 🤞 I am a huge fan of Diane and Yew Tree Yarns…she is my main supplier! Just out of interest - are all your WIPs in separate project bags? If so, I would love an episode looking at them all 😍 Jinny
I've been frenetecly knitting on my blanket to avoid casting on another project. Now I have to go to Nancys podcast to see why it was her fault. Fingers crossed I still have as much wips as I hade before...
Ah! I work on them almost every day while I'm having breakfast! I had to pull the experimental one down ( it was a King Cole pattern on 3.25mm) Ridiculously big! So I've started again. With that pair xx
I love the top you are wearing. Is that a knitting pattern? All our love to Poppy From a want to be a podcaster... how do you keep motivated to continue making videos ?
Yes it's a pattern and linked in the description box. As to motivation...I really don't know! There are times when I don't feel like it or haven't got much to show. On those times, I think about the people who watch and maybe don't get to socialise much (or at all) and are looking forward to a "visit" from me. Its certainly not for the money lol! I'm not monetised and don't make a penny from podcasting. Which I think people don't realise when they're demanding stuff or criticising. And that's something to consider if you're looking to start. Some people are unbelievably rude lol! You'll need a bit of a thick skin 😉 xx

Oh good lord! It would be a long one! But I'll see what I can do because, yes, they are! X
Yes! I would love to see a WIP parade!
Glad Poppy is feeling some better. It’s hard when our fur babies are sick ❤️

Hi Mandy, with your 2 choices of WIPs every week, when will you fit in the bedsocks project 🤔😘
Ah! I work on them almost every day while I'm having breakfast! I had to pull the experimental one down ( it was a King Cole pattern on 3.25mm) Ridiculously big! So I've started again. With that pair xx
I spat out my tea when the white hair appeared. It could be a Honey hair. Who knows x
That's right! Blame the poor dog! 🤣🤣🤣

@MousesMakes Thank you for sharing.... I'll try again to make videos and rather think of it to visit people that don't get visitors ❤
