A defining moment in my life was stepping out of the arrivals gate at London's Heathrow airport when I went to live & work in London, England. There were tons of people there to greet other passengers, but in that instant I realized that I was on my own. I didn't know anybody on this continent. It was all on me. Although frightening, it was also empowering. There were also random moments when I'd be sitting in a café, walking to work or out with strangers/friends and I'd stop and think about how lucky I was to be there, experiencing LIFE instead of back home in my routine. Keep dreaming big and make your dreams a reality!
i'm moving here starting june 1, in the town for 3 months and I stumbled on your videos, soooooooo excited, these are so helpful. I was nervous and I feel so much better
I can relate to this, while the fun times are amazing there were a few moments that were challenging like you talked about. Definitely you experience so much and grow a lot as a person! Thanks to both of you for sharing 🙏🏼💕
Oh my gosh! thank you for making this video!! i’m planning on moving to banff in the summer and hopefully staying in staff accommodations. (i’m from Ontario) i’ve been super nervous about it but everyone i met when i was just visiting in September said it’s so much fun and definitely worth it! i think it helps knowing that a lot of the people you work with are from out of province too! do you have any tips on which jobs to apply for?
it can be so scary at first but I’ve found the best experiences happen when you’re out of your comfort zone, not to mention everyone here is in the same boat :) I would recommend any in banff lodging company and banff pursuit, they’re actually hiring at the moment for summer jobs so its a good time to apply :)
Hey, im moving out to calgary from the UK next month :) I'm looking to work in banff over the summer, any tips on places that are good with staff accom ect! :)
ah so exciting!! I would say the best companies to work for are Fairmont, Banff Lodging Co., Banff Pursuit and Bhc, they all offer staff accommodation and have great benefits :)
Yes, they give you a shared accommodation with a couples rate. I believe the new accoms for couples are sort of like an apartment to yourself! Sometimes they'll pair you with another couple!
