New subscriber, also happened to have read Ecclesiastes for the first time yesterday. Thanks for your content. Pray, give it all away so you can be rebuilt, and in the strangest way that relationship gives back.
Really nice sweater. The kids should be happy to have you teaching them because they would look up to you although the music that they listen to will draw them away from doing homework and into a counter culture. Jesus too leads people into a sub group although it is integrated into the school system and I have had a family member who was able to get University degrees and was enrolled in the Christian/Catholic middle schools. People break away from organized religion. It is classified as a personal belief and a freedom that is outside of the legal system.
I heard a helpful thumbnail commentary regarding the Book of Ecclesiastes. When Solomon had his head "below the clouds", listening to secular music, and all in with the world system he felt life was meaningless. Yet, when his head was "above the clouds" he essentially "set his affection on things that are above where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God" (Colossians 3:1). What happened in his heart, was that his life made better sense, he realized the meaning and value his life had as he yielded to the Lord's will. As I understood Ecclesiastes in this perspective, the Old Testament book seemed less puzzling, and I perceived what Solomon was struggling through.

"Whatever you are feeding your spirit, that's what it is going to desire!"
