yeah this video has helped me. my R key has to be pressed with extra effort and I was worried that i have to replace the whole keyboard of my macbook air. Then i found this video and I just pull the key out, look around(see nothing wrong) and popped it back in, boom! it work flawless now. Thank you! You just saved me from spending on the new macbook Pro 16" !! 🤣

I think as you mentioned with a video clip my keyboard is done and it started with the P button then another and now annoyingly the power button too so it power cycles 🤦🏻♂️

Well I have a question for you, I need to replace my keyboard and trackpad to my macbook pro 13 mid 2009, My previus laptop it was also macbook pro 15 mid 2009. the question is ¿Can I replace the keyboard and the trackpad from my previus laptop to the 13 mid 2009 laptop? ¿Those components are the same?
Glad to help. So the 15" and 13" have different cable lengths and layouts for both keyboard and trackpad, unfortunately you will need to get the 13" 2009 a1278 versions. Hope this helps.
Certain keys on my 2012 13" MBPRO will quit at times. If I hold the dead key down for a few seconds it will usually start to work again, or if I type a word string of working keys the letter will pop up. Really strange that the keys stop just at random times. Mostly the TYIOP keys. Any ideas what could cause just a random failure like this?

I have different issue, I opened up my power button to clean it because I spilled juice on it, after few days suddenly it doesn't work unless I press it so hard with a screw and sometimes won't work and now accidentally I cut the plastic cover under the button now I can’t turn on my mac (I don't know if this important to make the keys work) please help.

Hello friend, greetings from Spain. I wanted to ask you a question. I have a MacBook at the end of 2011 I think it's the 1278 model if I'm not wrong. My problem is that there are 3 keys, which do not work are the keys: A, S and D. They work only when I press them several times continuously. What problem can it be? And how can I solve it? Sounds like there is liquid damage that is bridging the rail for those keys. The only real fix is to take out the keyboard and wash it but if you take it out you should replace it with a 100% working one, they are so cheap. I have a magic keyboard on which several keys just sto. ed working. A art from the obvious one seen here several adjacent ones also ‘return’, u arrow, down arrow, semi colon, etc. I took the afore mentioned key out and at some stage while re lacing it I actually got a ‘ ‘ ! Any ideas . Oh no question mark either.

I need help, i can't login anymore on my mac because certain keys don't work: 3,4,5,7,E,R,U,D,F,G,C,V,B and when i login onto guest-user the keyboard changes to qwerty! Please answer as fast as possible (and if you think its actually working because i'm typing this is because i am on my phone)
While typing in my macbook pro,few keys aren't working and few keys are typing different characters,any solution?
Unfortunately you have to replace the entire keyboard. In a pinch of the moment you can always just plug any USB keyboard and use it that way.
Ok so I have a 0 key that isn't working, the key's in good condition from my view but it just won't type. Any ideas or feedback?

@@GRIBSOFT how much do you think the cost of a new keyboard for a macbook pro 2012 with the disc on the side would cost.. I have the j, k, and l letters not working.. Also, what about a bluetooth keyboard.. could I just place it on top of the original keyboard and work it that way??

Please help with the little keys on the top row of a MacBook Air, my son bought me used. I cleaned the screen then key tops when off. One key stuck and auto-filled password box. Fix the one big key, now won’t turn on. Removed power key to examine, found nothing but unable to position the two white curved tabs correctly & unsure of the “U” shaped metal bar.
I am an auto tech forced into retirement early due to multiple bad joints that 4 surgeries may fix, but between a rock and hard place. I don’t want my son to pay to fix as I can replace the entire keyboard if that’s what it takes. I have the pentalobe screwdriver required to start by simply disconnecting the battery to let caps discharge then retry. I have tested each key and tried the “Button Tricks” with 3 & 4 keys held, shown in other vids. Don’t have cell account but use my $20 internet to pay bills & stuff. Can you suggest something to help a 61 year old dude living on little but lots of pain? I would appreciate it. Thank...

Try on an external usb keyboard of any brand even windows keyboard will work, if it doesn't then it's a logicboard issue if it does then replace the mac keyboard.

Re seat the keyboard connection to the logicboard. If you got the Mac to power on after the keyboard replacement, then the keyboard works because the power button is part of the keyboard. If the Mac turns it self on automatically after you plug the charger up to it, then the keyboard is not connected properly.
