I’m sure he was equally sarcastic when Omega put their prices up! At least Tudor sold lots of watches to people before doing it 😂 Omega’s novelties (announced early March 2022) pretty much went up before anyone had one 😂
@@KCTimeShare just a few more weeks to save and then Not sure how long to wait for stock :( I am waiting to get the Tudor Royal 41MM Day Date With Black face, what do you think?
I don’t think there is a long wait on the Royal so you should be alright! Would suggest you give your AD a heads up now, and once they have one in stock, you would be ready to shake hands 💪🏼
Thanks to KC for your great content and for taking the time to put the Tudor and Rolex price increase comparisons together. Disappointing to see that Tudor increase in % terms seem to be greater than Rolex's. They're stepping into Omega territory now and whilst I love the brand and own the BB Pro and BB58, the increases will reduce the "good value for the spec" feeling that you get when buying one. I'm on wait list for Pelagos 39...this will be almost a €5k watch now (Euros)!! That's stepping into SMP300 territory
You are very welcome Anthony, glad you found this video helpful! I agree, I always think BB58, Pro, P39, BB36 are all very good value. Shame to see they are getting more and more expenisve now. Perhaps Rolex/Tudor group also thinks Tudor watches are giving us too much value and they decided to step it up a bit 🥲
Shame. From one day to another 10% is something.. Tudor was supposed to offer great value for money, compared to Omega and Breitling. Disappointing for us but fantastic news for the company I guess.
@KC Time Share I agree 100% and the fact that Omega/Breitling/GS and Panerai are all increasing too, it gives Tudor the opportunity to capitalise on raising their prices to keep the delta between them and those other brands the same.
Interesting strategies. Rolex seemed to have focused their highest price hikes on the two-tones -- to try to keep pace with the ever-escalating steel prices on the Grey Market. They want to widen the gap between steel and two-tone, maintain some sort of exclusivity for their two-tones, and not have the two-tones relegated to second-class status. Tudor, on the other hand, chose to increase both their steel pieces and gold pieces. I think they realized that their steel pieces were real bargains, and they could stand to make more profit from them. Another informative video! Best Tudor coverage out there on RUclips!

Great little video. I see it as informative, but unfortunately it’s just going to be used to bash Tudor/Rolex by the haters. 10% is a big jump and they have already had a price increase earlier in the year, but Omega also had two didn’t they? People in the comments tend to say very little about Omega price rises, but Tudor are some sort of evil for doing it. Would be good to know what the average percentage increase per brand per year is. Maybe select a few popular models from each brand too. Brands increase prices to project quality (Breitling are shockingly expensive and new models still get away with third party movements and 1990 power reserves!). As long as Tudor up their QC (and I am not talking about the GMT date issue that’s not an issue) along with their prices, then they will improve as an option, not become a poorer one.
I agree Tudor has done a very good job at improving quality, the T-Fit is a good example. With the current rate of inflation, it is not surprising to see a price hike, as long as people like us still buy the watches I guess 🫢
It’s such a shame, you’d think they would invest in better manufacturing, I’ve heard so many anecdotes of people sending theirs in for warranty last year
Hey Snoop_Dugg Hopefully that is exactly what they will do. Based on my experience of Tudors (no GMT date issues though) I would have to say those anecdotes could largely be true, but all brands (apart from Rolex) have issues IME. The only issue I had to send in for under warranty was fixed. The other issue that actually needed sorting was swapped out by the AD. The third I am currently living with!
