I have been Beatboxing since 1985. Back when all a guy needed was the ability to mimic 5 basic sounds; Kick drum(bass), snare, high hat, crash cymbal, and toms. Times were much simpler back then. As someone who has spent over 39 years of their life Beatboxing, I am simply awestruck by what this younger generation are doing through vocal percussion. What was once considered a Fad and a gimmick, has transcended into its own musical genre. Even after nearly 4 decades of Beatboxing experience, I am not able to replicate the majority of sounds that today's Beatboxers are creating. I'm completely mesmerized by the skill and creativity being put forth by these brilliantly talented Beatboxers. That being said, the first time that I heard Taras Beatbox, I too made accusations that what he was uploading was fake and electronically produced etc. Being narrow minded, I couldn't fathom what he was doing was genuine and raw, without any sort of electronic assistance. I was wrong. I admit publicly, that I was mistaken in my assumptions, and cast doubt upon his unique abilities regarding Taras' level of vocal percussion. Taras, I ask that you please accept my apologies for the defamation of your Beatboxing skills set. I'm simply an Old School B-Boy who misjudged, and I want you to know that you my Beatbox brother, that you are the new standard for what's possible in the world and genre of what modern day Beatboxing is......

I dig the raw 'acapella' versions especially as a way to shut these people down. They don't understand the fx are there only to enhance an already killer musical talent but they're fine with singers using reverb and delay and don't call that out. Keep em coming man! 🤘

Mostly because as a normal person just watching the video, you don't really comprehend where all the sound comes from. Some of the sounds don't make sense as it doesn't feel or seem normal or coming from the beat boxer. I'm not saying I think it's fake at all. I'm just saying how insane it sounds and seems.
