"On January 23, 1959, 10 hikers set out for a winter trek through Russia’s Ural Mountains. One turned back after several days for medical reasons, but the other nine continued along their route. They had planned to send a message back to their sports club about three weeks after taking off; so when the club didn’t hear from them by February 20, a search party set out to find the hikers.
Over the next couple of weeks, the search party found the first five of the hiker’s bodies spread out over the snow. They were in various states of dress and had bizarre injuries, with one appearing to have bitten off part of his own knuckle. Months later, after some snow melt, investigators discovered the bodies of the remaining four hikers. They had even more inexplicable injuries. One had a fractured skull, another had a twisted neck, two were missing their eyes and one of the bodies with no eyes was also missing her tongue. The gruesome fate of the nine hikers has generated theories ranging from natural disasters to secret weapons testing to an attack by yetis. Although some theories are more plausible than others, the “Dyatlov Pass incident,” as it is known, remains a contentious and unsolved mystery." THE SKIS! Please talk about the skis! In the photo of the tent, there is a pair of skis still standing straight up right next to it. If there was an avalanche, how was it able to kill healthy young athletes but NOT knock over the skis?

@@jairai5922 I considered that but these were professional investigators taking crime scene photos. I can't fathom anyone would do that to a crime scene and then photo it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any documentation showing whose skis they were. If the avalanche was strong enough to push full grown athletes far from the tent, how was it not strong enough to dislodge the skis or tent itself?

    • @jairai5922

if the avalanche happened and people were still alive, do you think they could have put the skiis up at the tent? That's what I mean. I think they said they were still alive afterward, right? The foot prints is the same...some of them survived the initial "avalanche"
People also keep adding they were EXPERIENCED hikers and skiers. That doesn't matter up against nature sometimes and that's just the truth.

She went missing on 6/10/2010 & her body was found on 6/12/2010 (murdered). She had the misfortune of this happening the same week Caylee Anthony 'went missing.' Her case got completely sidelined when the Anthony case began a mere few days later.

I read “Dead Mountain: The Untold True Story of the Dyatlov Pass Incident” by Donnie Eichar. That book concluded that it was caused by natural weather- related events. Given that this event took place during Soviet rule and the Cold War I tend to agree that it was a military/government coverup. Those people accidentally ended up in a restricted area and saw something they weren’t supposed to see.

I think the same! Especially given that the soviets said they weren't nuke testing at the time, yet there's pictures. And one of them was supposed to tell the government where they were going but the papers were never filed! So if there was a test, the government didn't know that there were brilliant minds in the path.

This is one of the best videos I’ve seen on this. Ask a mortician did two videos on it debunking a lot of the crazier theories. The second video was about how these people who made the movie frozen used the “snow technology”? For the movie to show the avalanche theory and it was pretty convincing. She also brought up a small village nearby and things they remembered from that night as well as the fact that the radiation could have easily have been from their lanterns. I hadn’t heard about Yuri saying that some of the items were not actually his friends. You touched on a few things that I hadn’t heard in other videos. So many people just focus on the missing tongue and radiation and make it into a spooky story that it’s refreshing to hear real plausible theories.

    • @vlooney53

I thought of this too!! I think that one was also military or some such entity testing chemical weapons

    • @sashabenoit1518
      @sashabenoit1518 11 дней назад

@@vlooney53 My theory is that both groups were affected by infrasound. Whether that be from some sort of clandestine Military operation or a result of some unknown natural phenomenon, is still up for debate. We know that infrasound is found throughout nature, used by certain species as a means of defense and/or a tactic to hunt down prey, and we also know that man has been using infrasound, particularly in Military and Law Enforcement, as a means of crowd control, tort*re/interrogation, and as a weapon for physical and psychological warfare.
I believe infrasound is the most likely explanation because it literally fits with not only the physical evidence of the specific damage that was done to the bodies of the victims but also it matches with what the sole survivor reported that her and her group experienced.
Infrasound is, for the most part, undetectable by the human ear. Even though most people cannot hear infrasound, we can still feel its effects on us. The common effects that people, and even other species, experience is, confusion, disorientation, paranoia, and in more intense cases, a sense of primal fear and existential dread, feelings of impending doom and certain death. It also can induce abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting and if it's a strong enough frequency that's directed and concentrated on a specific target, it can create enough force to do serious internal damage to the organs and tissue damage.

Paradoxical undressing is usually, especially in a group (meaning at least 30% would have also demonstrated this behaviour) sometimes includes later stage “terminal burrowing” which is how I would describe as trying to dig and or squeeze into a place of warmth like clasping for a blanket. None of the hikers showed this behaviour. Paradisal undressing is, for those who don’t know, is what happens physiologically, when the body has used up all its energy resources in keeping warm that way so restricts blood flow and warmth to the core to stay alive (so frost bite etc happens) but eventually loses energy to do that so all constriction ability is lost and a massive rush of warm blood to the extremities (most highly damaged at this point) give the person the feeling of being almost intolerably hot. Accompanied by a high state of delirium, most people cannot resist this detrimental impulse sadly

Okay so....I had to pause the video to add my two cents. So this could be debunked later but I needed to say my thoughts. If the hikers were sleeping and something spooked them or whatever to where they had to break out of their tent, they obviously wouldn't have shoes on, or maybe they would, but either way, in the snow that would cause deep prints in the snow. Those prints in the pictures look like snowshoe prints. Snowshoes are things you strap to your shoes so you can basically walk on top of the snow. I doubt the hikers went to bed with their snowshoes on.

I've been intrigued by this case for a few years now. The most probable one, I believe, is the parachute 💣. The concussive force of the 💥 could cause the chest fractures and other injuries. The survivors, unaware of what was happening, left to get help, possibly being disoriented. Once they realized they were going the wrong way, they circled back, and took the clothing off the other climbers. But it was too late, without food and water, with no way to call for help, they succumbed to their injuries and the elements.

Unsure how true it is but I heard on another channel that during the theories being looked into they used the program that was used to create Frozen to "prove" this was caused the an avalanche however I've never heard of an avalanche removing an entire tongue nor would it give much time for them to scatter like they did through the tent and its said some were found in each others gear also a bit odd just my unprofessional opinion any hoo

So much time has passed.. before it was unclassified!!!
There's a reason why.. were left to speculate and try to understand.
I believe that it was covered up by the military due to their direct involvement. Also.. when they were discovered in the area.. I'm sure they were attached in some way.
Mostly due to the era.. and their military having no idea that it was just a bunch of young men and women hikers.
After the initial attack.. they were left behind to subcome to the elements. The four that they found in the spring were probably forced to jump! The others were probably severely injured and were told if they left the cover of the tree line.. they'd be shot ( executed ).
See.. a lot of speculation 😮
At any rate.. the family deserves closure and may the men and women who lost their lives rest in peace 🙏

This story has fascinated me for years and I hope that one day they will find what had really happened to these youngsters and why their bodies were in such a state that were mangled and I do not think it was an Avalanche, Tornado or any other weather event that were the cause of their horrible deaths. Did they do it to themselves? Did a creature did it to them? Or was it an Alien they found in the ice? I just hope they can find out the real truth. I do believe that there is a Russian cover up and partly the military were to blame. Maybe they were Guinea pigs but they didn't know it. They could have been sitting ducks out there as the government/military may have set out to kill them as they may have found something in the ice and the Russian government didn't want it to be released to the public. Thank you Christina you narrate these stories really well xx
