When Sophia and Mal return if the new coach calls them up the attack will revert back what we saw in the WC. We these 2 it’s about the run and shoot style. Don’t know if either will evolve there game to incorporate playing wide and what we saw in this game. For Sophia that’s just not her game style. For Mallory the passing and servicing the ball from out wide it is also not something we have seen in the Vlatko era so at this time not sure if or how these two will fit into this style of play that we just saw

There is so much talent on the bench and I do not comprehend why they keep sticking with the same players who are not performing. Well, due to injuries you're missing Sophia Smith and Mal Swanson on that stuttering front line, both lock-in starters, not to mention Cat Macario and Rose Lavelle as attacking mid options. So I don't think you were going to see instant improvement there tonight. I'm just glad they broke through and finally scored some goals. Who else did you think was going to do better tonight than Morgan, Williams (2 goals) and Rodman (1 nice goal)? Thompson is still a teenager. Shaw is still raw. There's no magic bullet of a player they're keeping under wraps on that front line.

Morgan and Rapinoe should have retired from the National Team when Carli Lloyd did. Morgan is an offside machine, ending attack after attack with the linesman's flag. She had a horrible World Cup, as expected.
With retirement of Julie Ertz our midfield will suffer. Horan and Sullivan are slow and as of yet they have not been able to fix the ongoing problems of the midfield. Given the players used in the midfield they are not getting the job done defensively and offensively struggle to connect with the forwards

Well I think the best coach that’ll be good for the uswnt will be the Spains coach that has been fired even after winning the WC ; I dont see anybody even close ; the coach for England is OK but hasn’t been good enough to win the WC only good enough to win two European cups but the X-factor is the US team ; The uswnt lost thus WC I believe because of the reffing ; our best midfielder wasn’t there against the Swedz on a bad call which put Lavelle out and England should have been defeated by Nigeria but another bad call in not allowing a penalty awarded to Nigeria which would have put England also out of the WC ; with that said , England’s coach is ok but the Spanish coach is the best right now. Good performance by the USWNT. Play more of the top European countries for a better assessment as to whether the US is back to the top of its game. These lowly ranked teams will give you a false sense of progress.

Immediately the name of Emma Hayes was thrown up, but just as swiftly, she herself shot it down. She was going nowhere, she said. She was committed to Chelsea. After having won the triple crown in England and then be routed by Barcelona, when they came up against them, in European matches, she must have been privately vowing to "get them". She is not making it a secret. She pried away our own Catarina Macario from Lyon and the pride of the Canadians, Ashley Lawrence from PSG, as well as Sjoke Nusken, Mia Fishel, Hannah Hampton and Alejandra Benabe from their respective Clubs. Now she is not just just planning an evolution but a revolution into her already successful Club. Hope all goes well with our US Team.
I tried watching this match, but am no longer into the team as I was. The WC debacle soured me on the whole idea. And here they are again, playing scrub teams and puffing their chests about it. Ridiculous. They need to play high-ranked European teams in friendlies if they ever hope to hoist the Cup above their heads again.

Not counting She Believes, they played New Zealand, Wales and Ireland as WC prep games. They won them all, providing a false sense of accomplishment since Wales and Ireland never got out of their weak groups and Wales didn't even qualify. It's no wonder the USWNT barely got out of their group.
