Lisa And Bill Can End The Auto Theft Crisis In Canada - Will They?

Looks like the automakers have been working on their cybersecurity for years as Carquestions has recently pointed out, but, now they are being forced in Europe to comply with a new SAE 21434 regulation that will make them make cars theft proof - but hold on it gets worse - they are not being forced in the USA or Canada - it's voluntary, which in the auto world means "thanks for the tip" - I wonder why we have much higher rates of theft then Europe, UK, Japan and all the others that have forced the automakers to increase the vehicle's cybersecurity.
