Sometimes I get tired of gear reviewers, but you are the only one that I wait to drop a new video....I really enjoy the post hardcore vibe of your songs, and the way you present the various settings of a pedal. You may not be the most famous youtube reviewer, but your work and effort put in the videos are highly appreciated. 🙏
100% depends on what kind of sound/style you're going for-they're near polar opposites and there's prob no situation where I'd use one as a direct substitute for the other, so it wouldn't really make sense to compare them directly
Ambient trash that intro does not sound like Queens of the Stone Age. It sounds better! You crushed the entire demo. I might have to put this pedal on my wish list. But I already own a couple of older Peavey solid state amps (Bandit 65 & Teal striped Envoy). What a contrarian concept. The opposite of a tube like sounding pedal. This demo definitely has me interested. Lots of amazing tones executed by you. I see the original version was issued a little over a year ago at about $299 & the latest one that you demoed is $179. I wonder which is better?
Ha, thanks for watching and for the kind words! The original Solid State also has a power amp section and a speaker output, so it's essentially a standalone amp. The Solid State Preamp excludes those, which brings the cost down for anyone who doesn't need them. So, just a matter of your needs as I believe the preamp circuit is the same on both.

Ahh thanks homie! Ngl it's one of my new favorites too haha

Oh man that bass! Really nice muscular sounds!
it's got that alt metal tone like chevelle or deftones🔥🔥NEED
hell yeah, definitely where my head was going while jamming with it
Damn! That bass sound.
Awesome pedal! I ordered one.
Can i ask the eq settings on origin? I'll play it in front of an amp. Or maybe it sounds better in return fx loop?
Just found you, great review and guidance!
right on, thank you!
This was a very useful review.
What do you think of the Old Blue vs the Acorn SS Preamp?

Now this is badass.
Pretty sure I used a model based on it in my AX8 for heavy heavy 7 string riffs. Don’t know why, it just worked lol.
