I have just purchased one from Amazon to replace my Nest secure.
1. Does the strobe siren have a backup battery in case of a power failure? If not, how does the siren go off when the alarm is triggered during a power outage?
2. I note the option to wall mount it. Does it have a tamper-proof switch, like the 1st version supposedly has?

I see one of my questions already answered.... :)
But... I currently have a gen1 setup, with my panel mounted on the wall using the little mounting piece that ties into the tamper alarm. Does the gen2 panel also mount on the wall? And, if it does, can I use the same screws/anchors in the same positions as the gen1's mounting bracket for the tamper alarm? Or, would I have to fill those holes and drill new ones?

Will the gen 2 support any of the gen 1 sensors and accessories? Also does it support GSM?

This Gen 2 alarm system currently supports Wi-Fi. GSM support is currently being developed and tested for a future model.
The Gen 1 sensors and accessories can be used with the Gen 2 alarm system. Gen 2 accessories will be available this month as we just received a shipment of the Gen 2 accessories.
