Bruh, i was bummed out that they didn’t include this ending in the 2011 version! Bisky waving goodbye to the boys, we also got a glimpse of Kurapika, Leorio and Mito-san. And with that song playing in the background it’s just beautiful ❤
I thought it was the end it was so sad that the show ended but I was so happy for Gon. When I discovered 2011 version back in 2018 I was disappointed that it was Kaito and not Ging :D.
Studio Nippon still exists. There just never was enough material to make a CA OVA. By the time that would've been possible MadHouse already took over the license.
Man hunter x hunter was super ahead of its time. Storytelling is superb it's still better than 99% of modern shows and anime out there. They were literally gonna animate the chimera ant arc in this version if it weren't for togashis breaks
Right, a Kurapika vs Ubogin or the Zoldyck vs Chrollo AMV would be sweet. Yeah, it kind of sucks that RUclips is deleting most of anime videos nowadays. Some people might get away with it by uploading it within a picture frame or mirrored.
Totally, the old music had so much emotion and really set the atmosphere whether during a fierce battle or a happy time. I honestly just watched a few episodes and got the idea that the reboot messed up the HxH atmosphere. In my opinion the 1999 version portrayed better the Genei Ryodan saga. So much they complain about the fillers of the old version, but when you actually watch the series the fillers kinds of add up detail to each character development and story. Just my opinion :P
Agreed! Not sure if i just feel nostalgic on the original music. The remake have better animation but the original has deep emotions in it :) -Rewatching the remake with my wife.
Fillers aren't even that bad in 1999, I barely even noticed the fillers on this one. The ship filler still one of the best too, sees the participants working together. Kurapika and Hanzo used to have chemistry.
And even then, it's barely just 5 filler episodes in the entire 92 episode run! You will barely feel like there's filler at all People I think overblow the issue waaay too much.
I take the 1999 and this ending to be an alternate reality that gon actually meets ging their but the chimera ant didnt happen until probably 2yrs or so cuz we see the place is so much more peaceful and just my theory

@@dj-um7el You can't really go wrong just adapting a rock solid story verbatim, so the outcome is still good. What unfortunately does happen is it may feel underwhelming or not very creatively motivated when compared to the artistry of the source material (which in HxH's case, GOOD LUCK matching Togashi's masterful art) or a more artistically charged adaptation.
And unfortunately, it's because of Togashi's failing health. Would be no point pushing the anime to adapt the still-far-from-finished Chimera Ant arc back then.

Ye, but both Genei Ryodan and Greed Island arcs were released as OVAS 3 years later the 99 version ended, this because of Togashi's hiatus. Chimera ants arc began in 2004, this is why in this OVA we only had a sneak peek of the beginning of the arc, there were plants to make chimera ants as an OVA, but this arc wasn't finished until 2012 when the hxh 2011 version was being broadcasting
they obviously show that its kite (like in 2011 and the manga), but i headcanon that it really was ging wearing a hat similar to kite's as the 1999 ending :]
