It makes a big difference and makes it harder to burn the bottom crust because getting it farther from the fire reduces the radiant heat from the coals.
Thank you for making the video. I have been wanting to try my hand again at making my own pizzas at home with my Weber kettle. I have the only fire pizza/rotisserie attachments with the pizza peel and stone. I messed up a lot of pizzas using it, my biggest issue is getting the pizza to slide of the peel and onto the stone. I have made a lot of messes this way. Your method with the elevated rack and stone on the kettle seems a lot easier and simpler. I will give it a try this weekend.
Excellent channel! Great production value. 👏 Still trying for that perfectly consistent hamburger grind. (Using a kitchen aid with 300W motor) Also, I independently came to roughly 1/4 tsp salt & 1/8 tsp pepper, per 4 oz patty, but i can't wait to try your cumin & garlic combo.
Oh man ...this is your expertise....pizza... You make it so easy ... Damn...every time I watch your pizza makes ..I got to have a pizza... Love you, man..
Good tip on the rack in the Weber. Going to try that.
