Great Boat !! You make it EASY to take these tours when you Lack the muzak and jittery camera work, etc, some of the other boat channels have. Thumbs UP on most all of your tours !
Nice. I've seen quite a few of these in trawlers and some sailboats. Practically indestructible. Parts are readily available from American Marine Diesel in New Jersey.
Amazing shape for the year. lots of real estate on this vessel. Curious about hours on the engines. Absolutely no doubt they have been well serviced though.
Do you or know of Finance options? Very nice Boat! I am a Working Blues Musician heading for So.Padre Island for the Winter to Entertain fulltime. Want to live on board a Boat like this, but also want to Head to Cayman Islands, Bahamas, and the Great Lakes in the Summer to Entertain with my Trio or Quartet.Thx!
Banks just lining up to finance a 40 year old BOAT (can't make this stuff up) for a musician (huh?) who will be leaving US waters with a merry band of fellow revelers as crew! Whoa doggies, let us know how THAT works out!
The Lehman Engines are a Version(Marine) of the Diesel Motors in the Light Trucks and Light Vans Used and Built by Ford. Parts are Easy to Get and are Rebuildable too.
Hi Bob. The engines have about 9,000 hrs total and were rebuilt at about 2,000 hrs. So 7,000 since rebuild. I don't know why they were rebuilt. The vessel is currently under contract, and the survey will be on August 31st. You can see all the details on this link. www.curtisstokes.net/trawlers-for-sale-defever-44-sea-2-see-2798458.html

Naturally aspirated Ford Lehmans are known to run for 20,000 hrs. You will not find a stabilized vessel in this shape for under 100k. This one is currently under contract and will be sold soon. Let me know if I can be of help navigating this market.
Yes. The previous owner had the exterior wood painted when the rest of the boat was done. That's $50,000.00 paint job! I kinda like the modern look of it. Of course, it will need touching up, as would brightwork.

Hate klanky music
Yeah, gimbal to hold your phone or camera makes a huge difference. And you can get a decent one for 100 bucks.
Thanks 👍

Wow ! Congrats !
There’s an old saying, may the buyer beware
they painted all the teak...............
Yes. The previous owner had the exterior wood painted when the rest of the boat was done. That's $50,000.00 paint job! I kinda like the modern look of it. Of course, it will need touching up, as would brightwork.
You NEVER paint Teak. No need to watch this video any further.
The teak was painted professionally by a previous owner. It's a matter of personal preference really.
I don't care who painted the teak. You NEVER paint it. The End.
@@stevereilly4973 Thanks for your opinion. I disagree.
teak is expensive and wood guys cringe but teak hulls have been painted forever, period
I have never knowingly seen a Teak hull that was painted. That's like painting over stained and varnished mahogany. End of discussion.
