Hey ghoul hey! Watching your videos is helping me through serious depression. Lately I have been struggling to even get out of bed. Thank you for giving me a much needed mental break. 🖤
I appreciate that you give advice for aging, not that 34 is old, but it's helpful because no one talks about how their skin, and therefore their makeup routine, changes as they get older. I have been looking for a good very pale, neutral foundation so I'll have to check out Anastasia!
I really hate that no one talks about it!! I agree with you 30s isn't old but there are very clear skin changes that may require some makeup and skin care adjustments and we should have all the chats about it! I look forward to aging here on RUclips cuz I love that there will always be fresh youngins on here but as us older millennials (and younger millennials and gen X) get older we will still need a place to hang out since we will still love our technologies! I think maybe society associates aging with loss of touch with technology, but in reality we haven't seen an older population yet who grew up alongside technology, so I sooooo look forward to the older YT community one day! Stay tuned for a JadeTheGranny channel!! 😂😂😂😂 Also that was some sort of tangent but definitely try the ABH foundation!! SO GOOD!
@@JadeTheLibra I've just turned 29 and I've been seeing changes in my skin since before I was 25. A lot has changed within skin care and makeup in even the last couple of years as people become more and more aware of the damaging effects of sun, pollution, and chemicals. It's only natural that things would change as time goes on. I looked into the ABH foundation today and they are about 38$ which is about the same as the Clinique foundation I've been using. So it's not too bad price wise... I used to use La Bella Donna's pressed compact which was $60!!! o.O"
Holy Hades! it's about time some of the Goth youtubers did make up routine vids. I just wish other's like Toxic Tears and Of Herbs and Alters did some as well.
Thank you for this definitely needed this. I am 32 years old and I have dry skin I have been noticing my makeup routine is just not cutting it anymore I crease and I feel like I'm cake in it on. I will try this foundation as well too I've been using cover girl since my 20s but the formula is not working for me any more with age. 🖤 As always you are beautiful ghoul 🖤
So I just ordered the foundation, setting powder, concealers, blush, and highlighter. Foundation, brush, and setting powder came in today and I’m in love!!! This helps with my dry skin so much! And looks like my skin. I’ve never had a foundation match me this close before!!! Thank you jade!
I am so shook bc this is literally my foundation routine! Anastasia foundation and that colourpop concealer! Its sooo good ugh. Try the colourpop pretty fresh foundation too, it's just as good!
Wow, that foundation is BEAUTIFUL (as are you). I am 53 & I wear the Kosas tinted oil, usually. I have a neutral, fair/light complexion and the finish and tone of this foundation is exactly what I’ve been dreaming of. Thank you. ✨💜✨
Im 45 now and still getting hormonal acne LOL. It started in my mid 30's. But I manage it much better! Only get a few bad, once a month. And yup, I didnt get much acne as a teen.
Same in the once a month department!! It's nothing like my later 20s and more just a few that want to pop up but still more than I had in my teens. I'm so mad at myself for treating my skin like sh*t in high school and my early 20s! Cheers to 2nd puberty club!! 😂

Thank you for sharing all of the great make up tips! Whenever I accidentally apply too much blush I get a cotton q-tip swab and drag it on the line with the amount of pressure needed to get how much make up blush I want lifted up off my skin. The swab works great when I have applied too much eye shadow too. I gently glide the q-tip over the eye shadow. To stop foundation stains from getting on my clothes I lay a long towel over my chest and lap and most of the time I have a towel laid across my lap. For mascara make up blobs in my eyelashes I use a plastic mascara brush you can get at Sally's beauty supply that come in packs of four with different tips on them to glide over the eyelashes where they have stuck together. So if I am ever in a hurry the plastic mascara brush brushes them out. It just takes a touch on the eyelashes with the tips of the plastic brush for it to look neat again. Great video! Love you Jade the Libra!

Jade!!! You gotta try the Fenty Matchstick in the shade Amber!!! Such a good greyish contour shade (but not TOO grey), Also, I feel the second puberty thing. Never had acne really until I hit 25!!
I'm going to be 35 and I definitely feel this. I've been using the Colourpop tinted moisturizer because I've needed more moisturizer for my dry skin. Also That's Taupe has been my go-to since it was released. I love a good cool tone small palette. Super useful even when I do bold liner or pops of some dark colors. Loved this video
Wow ur skin is beautiful even before the makeup! But I totally agree the older I get the more I’m into light natural looks as well, not like back then where I’d pack it on.
Hey ghoul hey! Contour and highlight were the products you didn’t ask for recommendations on, BUT if you haven’t tried rituel de fille, I think you’d love their products. They’re all creams/balm so they’re all made for any part of the face, perfect for dry skin and they have great options for the gray toned looks. I love the contour shade “intuition” and the highlight “icebow”. I just discovered them a couple months ago, hope you like them if you try it!
HEY GHOUL HEY!!! Stoked to see this video!!! April is right around the corner, will you be doing a half way to Halloween decorating video? Hope you have a great rest of the weekend. Stay beautiful 🎃🕸⚰🧡🖤
Hey ghoul heyyy!!! We're definitely doing halfway to halloween this year!! I'm so fricken excited to show you my mantle!! Hope you're having an amazing weekend!! 🖤🦇🎃✨
It's not liquid but, just saying, John Maclean suggested contouring with MAC Omega eyeshadow if you're super fair/cool toned and can't find a good match with normal contour. Def worked for me.
Actually had to pause and take a moment when you said you were gonna zoom us in to START the foundation routine💀... Stunning skin. It really starts with skincare. As someone who developed acne for the first time in her 20s (and about to enter her 30s), I felt it when you described your skin background!
YES!! It's so similar texture wise!! The only difference for me is I felt like the Fit Me foundation oxidized on me quite a bit and for whatever reason most dewy foundations do but this one is magic and stays true to color all day! 🖤🖤🖤
I have grey skin too! I believe it technically falls into the ‘neutral’ category but overall it’s very difficult to find foundations with that undertone, because so often they will show up on the face as either yellow or pink. It sounds like you’re really into this Anastasia foundation (I must check it out) but if you every fancy a change I would recommend the two lightest shades of the CYO foundation, and the shade Calico in any of the No7 foundations which are more on the grey side 🖤
YES! Girl I had acne in high school. Not severe, it was manageable. At 24, it got HORRENDOUS. Severe cystic acne, nothing worked. Extremely painful, embarrassing, just so so so awful. I'm 26 now. I have a good routine. One thing that helped me a lot is having no hard water in my shower or sink. We had hard water in college. It clogs pores. WATER... ugh so frustrating. Took me so long to figure that out. But I'm much better now.
HARD WATER IS THE DEVIL!!!! My old house had hard water and my skin was okay luckily but my hair was trashed and melting off!! It's so so crazy how hard water can build up on our skin and hair!!
Jade if you haven’t already tried them the Fenty match six or bronzer in the shade Amber are amaaaaaazing cool tone cream products. I’m in my 30’s and the stick is my go to sculpting product. 🖤
100% agree that my skin changed in my 30s. I’m now using concealer only because foundation just goes weird on my skin. Loved this vid Jade! You know us ghouls love the long story 🖤
There are always glass half full ways to look at things. The pandemic, for example, caused me to watch more RUclips then usual. Without that extra time perusing RUclips, wouldn’t have found your videos Jade. Thanks for existing!
I used to do my own theater makeup when I performed Rocky Horror (I played Frank). I miss playing with makeup. I did Beetlejuice for Halloween last year. Kinda hard for a guy to wear makeup, specially with all the tightwads at work. I love seeing your makeup videos. You are always so pale and I'm so jelly! Living my best ghoul life vicariously through you!
Dude you should try cookout pop between the sheets Blush. It’s like the creamy kind not the powder but it’s in the same color toneish you’re using I think it would be so pretty!
I struggle so much with getting my makeup to look natural and not all patchy or weird.. I'll take any help I can get lol. Definitely going to try this foundation!!
I'm going to try the Milk powder. It looks great on you. I just discovered Color Pop and bought their Bambi collection, and holy moly also discovered Maven! Bright orange packaging and fab lipstick and small pallets.
Wow Jade what a great blend and look on your skin. Everything turned out so lovely. Ghoul, we all know this will never be a Short video..lol nothing like the gift of jab. That highlighter is my kind, I actually love a little sparkle. thanks for sharing your Beauty tips with us .
I'm 34 too! Girl I have had acne for so long, basically since puberty started. Cheeks in teens and 20s, then late 20s and now it's jawline. Even not wearing makeup cuz of masks doesn't makes no difference. Hormones and genes basically, but thankfully they are small and not so angry anymore.
The hormones got me too, ghoul! I still get little ones on my jawline and around the mouth area, and in the summer the mask-ne is real over here haha!! Also, I've heard there are more puberties to come, but luckily age also helps the IDGAF part which is freeing lol!
Ooooooo which one do you like?! I've had the worst luck with tinted moisturizers either breaking up on me or looking either straight up too pink or yellow or just oxidizing on my skin. I would love one for summer coming up though especially since I don't want to use my fancy foundation for sweaty days when I'll be mostly be wearing a mask except for when chatting in the car while out Halloween decor hunting! 🖤
If you want a lipstick recommendation dose of colors matte liquid lipstick in the shade sleepless is a beautiful greige purple, I think it'd be a great spring lipstick for you. Also, I know it's not your style but a tutorial with glossier would be interesting to watch just to see what look you'd create.
You had me at "griege purple" 😍😍😍😍😍 I'm definitely going to snag this shade!! Also I've heard a lot about Glossier and am open to their products especially for summer so I'll dive into their site a bit and see what I can come up with! 🖤
I have seen another YT use that foundation and she loved it too and her go to was always Nars Luminous and I’m with you loved IT CC but does seem heavy I’ve cut back big time on the routine too and have been looking for a new go to haven’t found it yet lol actually just using concealer where I need it I know lazy AF routine is really what that is😭this foundation looks amazing I’m going to order it now but gonna need the brush too sometimes you are stuck getting the matching brush because it’s the best way! No shame with the dirty beauty blender pretty sure if you use one your not washing it every time or week or....😭guilty ghoul guilty of the same shame😭have you tried KVD the new stuff is worth a try and Nabla eyeshadows are pretty decent too I think both are on Ulta websites!
These are my favorite videos ever!! I was literally just at Ulta wandering around forever looking for a new fountain. I left with nothing but I’m going to head to Sephora and try this out!! 🖤🖤🖤
I just bought the Fenty Skin Tint thingy and I'm excited to try it. I'm definitely on the lighter coverage, hydrated look train. And yes to adult acne (had horrible acne as a kid so nothing much phases me now). House of Uni is supposed to have great lippies, including a black called Wicked.
ooo let me know how you like it!! 've been looking at the Fenty Skin Tint for summer!! I'm currently being indecisive about which shade I need haha! I'm forever either the lightest shade or the non-existent shade between a 1st and 2nd shade in every line ever haha!!
I am also nearing my mid 30s and have had these same issues with my makeup!! I have the Anastasia foundation already and loveee it but immediately went to Ulta and bought this brush and a bunch of Colourpop so fingers crossed! 🤞🏻
Taupe shades are the most flattering for my skin tone even though I am not quit as fair as you are but I feel you with that not quite warm, not quite cool and for me, not all 'neutrals' work. I love this video! It was very helpful since I am dealing with dry skin and the under eye change up as well. I have tried the way you are doing it recently but needs to work on it a bit myself. I am also thinking since seeing your video when you raved about the highlight, that the finger application is actually really smart...it might even be what helps with the glitter not just looking like Tinkerbell farted on my face XD I notice the difference myself when I use my finger instead of a brush just like with some eyeshadows.
I just want to say when I watch your videos I always find myself smiling. Like wait how did that get there? 🖤 I love everything that you do. I don't even wear foundation, but I know I had to watch your video. I look forward to your content.
Hey ghoul, Hey! It's my favourite witch! I am in my late fifties and even I enjoy watching you do your make up I always seem to learn something and today I put you on the big screen and can see everything.... and you look flawless!
Hey Ghoul Hey!! 34 club over here lol totally understand the struggle to find a new foundation or skin routine in general. I've been using less foundation and concealer, and definitely a huge difference to make the skin look better.
Try putting on your concealer BEFORE foundation. Use the same amount and placement you’ve used in this video. We’re about the same age and doing this changed my makeup game.
I bought this foundation to try after you put it in your faves video because I’m also 34 and have similar issues, and WOW it is a GORGEOUS finish. Even my husband is like “why does your skin look so good” haha
AAAAAAH YESSSS I love it so much that you're loving it too!! The skin comments were my favorite part cuz I swear I never got skin comments until I started using this!! I swear it makes my skin look better than my 20s! 🖤
It's so funny you said you feel like your skin tone is a gray tone. I never felt that way until I tried the CYO foundation in the lightest shade. It looks gray and it's the perfect match for me. I'll definitely have to try this one. Gorgeous.
Jade this video was so helpful. I’m in my late 20’s and starting to get some acne flare ups. Though I wonder if it’s from wearing masks and stress too. Anyways your tips about foundation and skin care are great, thank you!!!
Hey ghoul, love all your stuff. I was just saying you make me buy the randomest stuff. Also the *amber* shade in the matchsticks or cream bronzers by Fenty is really really nice.
Hey ghoul!! So fricken happy you're loving the content and okay I'm officially convinced to get the Fenty Amber shade cuz I looked at it last night and it looked perfect and exactly what I've been looking for but now that more people are saying this product specifically I'm all in!!
Sammeee! Clear skin all through highschool. When I turned 24. I was so confused! thankfully I had RUclips and Lisa Eldridge in my 20s. Wouldn’t have had her in my teens. That’s the only positive thing I can think about late stage acne.
Ghoul, would you vlog the next time you get lip fillers? I understand if you don't want to post a video about that, but I'm super curious. Also, would love to see your skin care routine. I just turned 30, and the fine lines around my eyes are scarier than a possession ☠️🧟♀️ Love you!
You should check out Necromancy Cosmetica's lipsticks and eyeshadow. Gorgeous and eco friendly goth packaging with incredible vegan pigments and unique shades!
I live for your videos!!! I always get excited to watch them! I love your style so much 😍 I work in a professional setting and find it hard to corporate my goth wardrobe to work. Can you please do a video of goth work attire please?!?!?
I have been loving the Glow Up Primer Serum from E.L.F. It's hyaluronic acid with some gold flecks, and it just makes my skin look like...magic? Lol Also loving the E.L.F hydrating camo concealer. I haven't tried their hydrating camo CC cream yet, but I've heard good things. For lips, I'm currently obsessed with the blotted lip look, so I've been loving the Coloupop Ultra Blotted Lips. I especially love that I literally just don't feel anything on my lips, and they have a kind of waxy/soft matte feeling, instead of feeling super dry. I love liquid lipsticks, but I hate how they make my lips feel after a while of wearing them. But my favorite thing about them is that they blend SO WELL, that it's easy to do an ombre lip look with them without having to really work to blend them. OH! And how did you like Willy's Wonderland?!
I also have the driest skin, Miss. Sahara Desert over here, and I’m on acne meds that make it even worse. Currently watching this longing for days when I can wear makeup again. 😫🖤
We need a Miss Sahara Desert skin pageant! 😂 The combination of acne and dry skin is on a whole other level of not fair!! Hope you're able to get back to wearing makeup soon! The upside is with all the mask wearing going on, wearing makeup isn't as fun right now anyway 🖤🖤🖤
Have you tried the beauty blender foundation? I also have dry af skin and I also LOVED/still love the CC+ and the beauty blender foundation imo looks so pretty on dry skin. You can also build it up or go more natural with it and let skin peek through. Now you have me wanting to try the ABH one!
I love colourpop i just picked up the lizzie mcguire set. I also love the foundation they have. I own quite a few things from eyeshadows to eyeliners to mascara and highlighters. I also love thier blotted lips
I have oily/combination skin anf my skin loves anything that gives moisture anf then it's less oily and less dry so maybe this foundation could work for me. Luckily you can get a sample from stores before buying!
I've been using the same foundation for forever and when I say forever I think since the 90s. The Smaahbox studio skin it was the first foundation I ever got that was light enough for my skin and through all the years and foundations I try I always go back to the Smaahbox.
Smashbox was one of the brands I was looking at but ended up repurchasing a new bottle of the ABH cuz I didn't want to risk it when this was working great for me! Now that I know it's good, I'll definitely give the Smashbox one a try next time!! Thank you so much for the rec!!
I'm here to welcome you to the drier side of life haha! This foundation is definitely worth trying out! I honestly wish I would have found it sooner/it came out sooner! Hope you've had an amazing weekend! 🖤
Hey ghoul heyy!! I got a second puberty too. Suddenly my face was really oily, and all my old make up just looked greasy and melted away? I've always been a dry skin girl, I didn't know what to do with that! Changing my diet also really added to things- I stopped eating meat and I was in oil city
I love this routine. I'm also into a more minimal routine/look as time goes on. I'm very interested to try that foundation now! Also, not sure if I missed it but what mascara did you use for your bottom lashes? That wand looked super interesting! 😊
I have been using IT cosmetics cc+ cream because it's lightweight, but now I really want to try the ABH brand foundation because it looks flawless on you! Can you do a fake eyelashes tutorial? I always struggle.
Loved the IT Cosmetics CC cream for so long!! I was so disappointed when it wasn't working for me anymore! Since you have a similar taste in foundation definitely check out the ABH one!! It reminds me of the IT Cosmetics one in that it feels fantastic on the skin, but I feel like it melts into the skin a little better! 🖤
Hey ghoul, heeeey. This and Tarte’s clay foundation (for more coverage) are my go to foundations. Notoriously Morbid has a good grey powder contour color. It’s called Necromancy and is only $8.99 for a full size container.🖤
hey ghoul! i’m totally opposite from you, warm toned and oily (like v oily, like oily in 30 mins 😑) but i may just give the foundation a shot. i used to be all about full coverage, but now i just want evenness and my skin to look like my skin. thanks for this video and the highlighter recommendation 👻
Looks good. I've been looking for a good foundation. I've tried everything from the more pricey foundations to the drugstore brand. Didn't know Anastasia sold a luminous foundation 👍
I know you use to love the Lime Crime Black Velvet lipstick, soooo which one do you like more?! Void by Coven or Black Velvet by Lime Crime?! I'm trying to find another brand in a black lipstick to stray away from the brand I was using, and I've also tried Black Moon Cosmetics, but I wasn't too impressed. 🥺 Also thank you for this routine because I definitely want to try it out and try this foundation!
I might have to give this a try. I’ll be 36 in about a week (Aries shout out) and I cannot for the life of me find a foundation that works at all for my dry as hell skin and my hormonal acne (ugh). Love your videos ghoul... would love to see a review of the Necromancy Gothic Romance pallet.

So glad I found your channel ghoul, your videos just feel oldschool (in the best way) and I love it!
Ugh I’m living for the entire look. And that foundation is amazing !
Your skin looks amazing. Can you do a video on your skin care?
At 36 a tinted moisturizer looks so much better than any heavy foundation. I do like that Anastasia one for a full beat though
@@JadeTheLibra I love the Colorpop Pretty Fresh one and the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. I’ve heard good things about the Nars one too.
Loved watching this- the bottom lashes look soooo good btw 🖤✨
Would love to see you do a review of the Nyx born to glow foundation in pale, it’s said to be a dupe for the ABH foundation ❤️
Great video! I actually thought today that we are only four or so months away for your Halloween hunting videos! So exciting! 🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤
These are my favorite videos ever!! I was literally just at Ulta wandering around forever looking for a new fountain. I left with nothing but I’m going to head to Sephora and try this out!! 🖤🖤🖤
Definitely give it a try!! It's honestly a game changer!
Can u pls do a cleaning makeup brushes/sponge video pls?!🖤🖤🖤🖤
I just bought the Fenty Skin Tint thingy and I'm excited to try it. I'm definitely on the lighter coverage, hydrated look train. And yes to adult acne (had horrible acne as a kid so nothing much phases me now). House of Uni is supposed to have great lippies, including a black called Wicked.
ooo let me know how you like it!! 've been looking at the Fenty Skin Tint for summer!! I'm currently being indecisive about which shade I need haha! I'm forever either the lightest shade or the non-existent shade between a 1st and 2nd shade in every line ever haha!!
This was mesmerizing! Love watching your makeup videos!
The match stix in Amber from Fenty beauty is a great cool toned/gray leaning contour! It’s my staple cream contour shade and I highly recommend it! 🥰
I am also nearing my mid 30s and have had these same issues with my makeup!! I have the Anastasia foundation already and loveee it but immediately went to Ulta and bought this brush and a bunch of Colourpop so fingers crossed! 🤞🏻
Jade you look so pretty!!!!!
Anastasia contour stick in Mink is a good cool-toned cream contour
I use the ABH stick in Fawn on my super fair skin and it’s a stunning color in fair skin!
I just want to say when I watch your videos I always find myself smiling. Like wait how did that get there? 🖤 I love everything that you do. I don't even wear foundation, but I know I had to watch your video. I look forward to your content.
Hey ghoul, Hey!
It's my favourite witch!
I am in my late fifties and even I enjoy watching you do your make up
I always seem to learn something and today I put you on the big screen and can see everything.... and you look flawless!
so beautiful! can't wait to try that foundation
Gorgeous.
I’ve been using this foundation for awhile. I absolutely love it too. Like you said it’s your face but better!
YESS never ever gets old seeing the spooky emojis!!! HEY SPOOKY FAM!! Also, I swear this foundation is actual magic!!
Just watched ur old one was waiting for a new one so excited
Nyx sweet cheeks blush comes in a light grey brown you can bronze or contour with.
You would probably like the Fenty Match Stick in ‘Amber’ for cream contour 🖤
Jade this video was so helpful. I’m in my late 20’s and starting to get some acne flare ups. Though I wonder if it’s from wearing masks and stress too. Anyways your tips about foundation and skin care are great, thank you!!!
I just love watching your videos. Thank you for being amazing!
I love your hairstyle!
My new favorite Foundation has been Fenty. But for more natural make-up looks, I use the NYX Powder Foundation.
Oh my gosh girl yes I’m so glad you made this video because I am 30 and my face started to change so thank you for the make up tips
Beautiful as always jade
Sammeee! Clear skin all through highschool. When I turned 24. I was so confused! thankfully I had RUclips and Lisa Eldridge in my 20s. Wouldn’t have had her in my teens. That’s the only positive thing I can think about late stage acne.
You look gorgeous Jade. I wish I could get NARS here. I'm a combo girl and 10 years your senior so I would love to try it.
Yes eternal is awesome, also feel in love with dusk n void.
when I watch your videos I think of your halloween videos and it makes me miss halloween
This reminds me - it's almost halfway to Halloween!!!!!
@@JadeTheLibra YEAAAAAH!!!!
Elf is really good ❤️
Try the liquid lux lipstick, they are like a jelly lip tint soooo good
Hey ghoul hey, I have been wondering what you use and how you do your makeup, so glad to watch this video.
I'm a year older than you and this is the same foundation/concealer combo I use! It's amazing even on my oily skin 🖤
I’m an oily girl getting less oily as the years go by. I’m turning 30 this year and am starting think maybe I should try this foundation.
Hey ghoul hey!! Thank you so much for the rec! A contour shade from a brand called Notoriously Morbid is just what I need!
hey ghoul! i’m totally opposite from you, warm toned and oily (like v oily, like oily in 30 mins 😑) but i may just give the foundation a shot. i used to be all about full coverage, but now i just want evenness and my skin to look like my skin. thanks for this video and the highlighter recommendation 👻
Hey ghoul! Hope you're having a great day! 🖤
Hey ghoul hey! That bat necklace is AMAZING!! Where is it from?! 🦇
The way you look just as good without anything in your face ❤️
I might have to give this a try. I’ll be 36 in about a week (Aries shout out) and I cannot for the life of me find a foundation that works at all for my dry as hell skin and my hormonal acne (ugh). Love your videos ghoul... would love to see a review of the Necromancy Gothic Romance pallet.
