Great Video as always BergenBusDriver, just a question or two, do you pick and choose your routers and times to make the videos as I didn't realise you worked so late, my city the latest buses are at 12:30am then it's either walk or taxi so ppl if Bergen are lucky for Skyss. 2nd question, do you do like part time work or full time like 8-9hr shifts? Just thought I would ask as I've always been curious.
Hope you have had great holidays and all best for New Year! Maybe one day I will visit Bergen!

Hello, thank you very much for these interesting videos. I have a question, please. Why do buses run after midnight? In many countries, bus services stop at midnight. Is this Germany?

My mum was the cook for the bus drivers when I was a kid (this is the mid-to-late 70s) - so I grew up around noisy/smelly diesel buses and the men (and it was ALL men) who drove and worked on them - I've probably inhaled enough diesel emissions to make me a mutant at this point ;0
I do wonder how they'd have reacted to having to take a breathalyzer before driving, wear a seatbelt and having to collect litter on their own buses - we'd only just gotten-rid of 'conductors' taking fares and it took a LONG time to convince drivers to do that job as well as to drive!!
That said - the buses were a LOT tougher on the driver - crash gearboxes were still a thing, heaters in the cab were not - nor was power steering or even power brakes! No computer told them if they were late or early - even the ticket machines were entirely manual and EVERYONE bought a ticket on the bus - no passes etc. etc.
Good times but things are better now I think - thanks for sharing - your passengers were WAY cleaner than I expected - very enjoyable trip!

Hola 👋 buen video 👍. Una pregunta en vuestra empresa no poneis la luces de emergencia cuando abres las puertas para que bajen y suban las personas. Señalizacion para que las demás coches sepan que esta bajando o subiendo persona. Buen video 👍

Surprised there's enough passenger usage to justify running such a long bus.
Back in the late 90s early 00s, you'd have double deckers running routes during the day, and night they'd run shorter single deck buses, or even midibuses (Mercedes 0811D) before they got taken out of service. If a route isn't profitable or being subsidised by the local council, it'll get removed unfortunately.
