  • Learn my secrets for successful wrapped wire loops for jewellery making.
    The wrapped loop is my go-to for links whenever I need to use thinner gauges of wire (generally 0.25-0.4mm, 26-30 gauge) and I also use it a lot for design purposes even with thicker gauges of wire. Here I share my 7 secrets for successful loops!

    I make traditional Catholic rosaries and I use chain links to separate the decades and Our Father beads. I've known 2 or 3 people who do wire wrapping instead of using cain links and it makes for a stronger rosary and it's something I like and would love to learn how to do. Thank you for this wonderful video. Hopefully I can do this with my 2 left thumbs...😊.

    Hi Lily, how do you use this techniques when the first wrapped loop is holding a charm and the wire I choose is 20 gage stainless steel, because the charm is ss and I like using it for the strength and durability? Thanks

  • @annia3685

    Any tips for thicker wire? I'm finding it difficult to wrap my 20 gauge wire. Thank you.

    • @user-mv9tt4st9k
      @user-mv9tt4st9k 5 лет назад

      I practiced with 20 gauge by wrapping inexpensive glass drops (I have dozens now). I find that unless I left a long tail, wrapped loops are best wrapped using pliers rather than my fingers. Also, be sure your wire is copper, since copper seems to be softer than aluminium-based wire.

    Hi Teresa. I love your videos and have learned so much from them! I'm struggling with getting sharp (vs. rounded) corners on wire wrapped rectangles or squares. Do you have any tips for doing this?

    • @user-mv9tt4st9k
      @user-mv9tt4st9k 5 лет назад

      I cheat by making the bend using my wide nosed flat pliers. I end up with a sharper bend.
