i took this to my guitar teacher when everybody else was just getting into nikki sixx and the boys i was getting into the Daniel band and stryper !!! i forgot the intro riff but even my teacher rocked to it. i left the tape at his house and years later a paths crossed again and he said the tape was a big part to leading him to the Lord.
I'm the first guy who walks out the door in the beginning of this video...It was filmed at the Don Jail in Toronto Ontario...The Daniel Band were a great live band, but this video is pretty funny to watch. My kids crackup when they watch and see me in it...Good times.
great tune .. .great message . keep your eyes on Jesus and walk by Faith . amen , i grew up on Daniel Bands records and this tune brings back some great memories,,,, thanks ,
I used to really love the Daniel Band when I was a teenager. I actually had an opportunity to meet the band members. But seriously, I look at this video and think, "Spinal Tap." :) Cheers, Bruce
I played in the first Christian hard rock band in San Diego back in the 80's. We played a few prisons so I can relate to this video. Still one of the best best bands ever - maybe because of the heavy RUSH influence! Think we need a Daniel band reunion tour!
@@ryanjennings7415 We were called Latter Rain. We played bars and clubs with original Christian music because in the 80's rock n roll was still "evil." Not many churches would let us play. Now that churches discovered they can bring in younger people and make more money rock music is ok now! LOL It's tough being ahead of your time. Just ask the guys in Daniel Band. I am a custom car builder and film maker now. Still in San Diego. In a perfect world I would be producing my TV series called "The Carpenter" about Jesus growing up in Joseph's carpentry shop. It tells the story of the Bible as Jesus builds different objects that cause him to reflect on events in the Bible. Right now now I am doing a film called "Vector: America's First Supercar." I want to use the Daniel Band song "Never Again" for the part that takes place in the 80's. And I still record my own music. But with all the new Digital technology it's a lot easier! Our drummer went on to form the band Sprung Monkey. ruclips.net/video/3xct_iOAKtc/видео.html
A really good band I'm just now discovering. Even though I'm 40 years too late, I'm enjoying them now. I've bought all five of their albums and they are all good. If only I had been aware of them in '83.
I remember Daniel Band as my first exposure to Christian Rock. Obviously in the early 80's the art of the music video was still rather immature, but this is true of practically all the video's of that era. But still, Walk on the Water is probably the anthem song for The Daniel Band. And yeah while I think that moustache is a little over the top, hey its unique. No one else had one quite like it and thats gotta count for something. Thanks for posting this. Takes me back over 20 years.
I was in one of the bands that opened up for The Daniel Band in 1989 - their farewell concert (I think they got back together later). I think there were close to 1,000 people at the concert (largest audience I have ever played too, even though we open up for Stryper in Los Angeles just before they made it really big, and Barren Cross also). I play drums and write lyrics. I`m starting up a new band - I`ve written a bunch of new songs. I just posted a song from my old band (on my RUclips channel) - you can check it out. We were not a hard rock band. We were more of a new wave / rock band. Take care, Sad
blaming this music for your back sliding is like a fat man blaming mcdonald's for being fat. The music didn't make you backslide, it was the condition of your heart. There is nothing wrong with this music at all. It is uplifting, unless your heart is in the wrong place then it is whatever you want it to be. I met these guys in my church in 1985. An experience I'll never forget. what a great bunch of guys. Matt, Tony, Dan and bill.
In regards to an earlier comment I made, yes, the guy in this video is also in an episode of The Littlest Hobo TV show. Both The Daniel Band and TLH show were huge influences on me.
I have loved the song for a long time. Never knew they had a video for it. Video is cheesy but considering it's age the picture quality is good. The mustache need to go.
Many, many many years ago I looked for this video for my TV show Full Metal racket and never found it. Of now I have discovered this music is satanic so I don't care but it's nice it does exist. This group help lead me to backslide and become a Scorpions fan. The I repented now I campaign against this music it does not win souls. You cannot take a coal from a pagan satanic alter and put it on the alter of God is strange fire.

They've played Immortal Fest the past two years in Versailles, OH. They'll be back again Labor Day weekend this year (2024).
Would love to go see these guys. I really want to use a couple songs in my films. Will have to wait and see what happens.....

I sat in my friend's living room, in Sacramento, with the band after they played live. Just a group of very down to earth guys.
I have this on vinyl. Daniel Band was great!
If we go overboard we’re Walking On The Water 💧

70's had a different clothes style. Very simplistic and probably minimum budget.

Hey it's doc Holliday
This SDM outfit...
Don't get me wrong I like Toni Rossi as a friend but he looks like Freddie Mercury here...
Damn these cats look gay! Praise the lord.
