I live on a farm and watch my dad work under the sun while I sit inside. it is not as big as this farm though so beautiful and amazing everything looks so fresh and clean.
I grew up in my Pawpaw's garden that took up about 2 acres of land, with a side plot(specifically for gourd type plants) that was about 1/4 of an acre. We grew tomatoes, corn, bell peppers, potatoes, peas and beans of all types, and we also had a few fruit trees. Those times are some of my most cherished memories, and I learned some of the most precious skills, those to grow your own food. My Mawmaw also had flower beds all over the yard, so I learned the benefits of various nonfood plants and how to care for them as well.
I don't personally like on a farm but I've grown up around them and I'd love to live on one
I live in a house with a huge garden and we grow veggies too! Its so cute how excited you get picking the vegetables. Bless you! A garden is lots of physical work though but its worth it.
I had an allotment until I became unwell and had to give it up. I miss it
This outfit is giving me life
She looks cute in everything lolz
Your grasp of Japanese language is amazing Mikan. People react to you with a great positivity. And switching between two languages, that's incredible. Please will you both do more country stuff?
my mom also LOVES eating corn during the summer! she buys it all the time, and I think the corn that's still in the green husk tastes better😊and shucking corn is so satisfying lol
You can literally hear how much Yasu is smitten with you! So cute. And I live the vibes of this video. Real life harvest moon🤣
woah this looks extremely fun!
Also your friend's grandparents are so cute, my heart can't handle it!
I grew up in more provincial areas and having lived in cities, I think it is my preference to buy land (ideally near a river that runs year round or with hot springs) and grow veganic food forests. Cities can be fun to visit, but the noise and light pollution as well as the air pollution just don't seem good for day to day existence. That farm seemed wonderful! I'm grateful you got to visit and enjoy vegetables straight off the stalk and vine!
I hope you had a lot of fun!!!🫶
I lived on a rice farm for 2 weeks while in japan near Nara and although some of the work was pretty hard in the heat it was one of my favorite memories from my whole year in japan .
I love seeing corn around the world. It’s so interesting that a food my ancestors cultivated is now in places like Japan and places have their own types of corns and special corn dishes. Have you ever tried Elote? You can at least put mayo and tajin on grilled corn to start. There’s many variations of elote. I like to do vegan butter tbh. With spices and tajin. Its so tasty. I also add goat cream cheese instead of Cotija. I love it. It’s the perfect summer dish. I wanna go pick corn for a day. Sounds fun. I’ve lived in small towns. I’ve lived in the city. Some of my family has lived on a ranch before. They had cows and goats and sheeps n stuff. Used to grow sunflowers. Lots ot sunflowers. Like as far as my six year old eyes could see. I miss that sometimes. It’s so refreshing to go to a place like that. Plus that ranch is where my grandparents lived for so many years. So many special memories. We’re mexican and like. We had big parties there. The family is huge. And that’s just those of us in the USA and not including mexico and other parts of the states. Having 50 or so people at a ranch party was not unusual. Especially for a big birthday or a holiday. And would sometimes have even more people. Mexican people know how to get down to some Ranchera Music and up till 2 am dancing it out. Dang it. Now I want a giant party and some eloté. I wanna have fun and eat traditional grilled corn but my style.
The memories of going to a party and sleeping through it because your parents don't want to leave yet It's already around 12am. (Hispanic viewer here)
I lived in a farm my whole life, until last year when I moved to a big city. But seeing you getting so excited and enjoying the lifestyle that was pretty normal/basic for me, makes me realize how happy I was... 🥺💖
The part where you guys were picking corn gave me major “slice of life” vibes it was so great. I grew up on a Mac nut/coffee farm in Hawaii with my grandparents and living on a farm is such a magical thing✨especially when our fruit trees would bear fruit it was amazing, all year round there’s something growing to look forward to eating. My favorite is my papas lychee tree, the fruit are soooooo sweeeeeet😍
That farm looks so beautiful, it does look like it's straight out from a Ghibli movie. I love your outfit with the white dress and the straw hat, so cute! Your cat is also such a cutie.
Thanks for showing us the farm and your adventure, it was to relaxing and nice to watch!
Its interesting seeing such a different experience growing up. I live in New Zealand where a lot of preschools will have a small garden where kids can get involved and watch the plants grow. We had a garden where I grew my own tomatoes, corn, potatoes, etc and come spring I hope to plant a new little vegetable patch. Your day on the farm looked lovely but too hot
i own a very large garden where I get all of my vegetables and some of my fruits! and I can confirm its just as fun as mikan makes it seem!!!!
It looks so fun and relaxing!! I would love to go to a farm. I was smiling the whole time seeing how happy you were picking vegetables, so glad you had a good time! 🌽💚
Awe this is actually so beautiful and you look so cute in your outfit!!!!
Hearing mikan talking in Japanese for ages was so calming and pleasing to the soul… I hope we get to see more content like this in the future!
THE OUTFIT IS SO CUTE!!!! IM IN LOVE!!!💗💗
This is such a lovely sweet video. Just been watching Old Enough on Netflix and was saying how much I love seeing the rural bits of Japan on it so was lovely to watch this. Always love to see more of these lesser seen places.
every time you upload I get instant seratonin :’) LOVE YOUR CONTENT ❤️
This is like asmr for my soul! Watching a beautiful girl walk around nature 🥺 you changing clothes reminds me when I went on a roadtrip and changed in the car 4 times to wear an outfit suited to each place we went 😂😂 my partner thinking I’m way too extra 😂

omggg i was just binging ur old videos and i saw this!!! i live in the country side and i grew up helping my cousin's granpas farm so watching this was very nostalgic :DD also my sister had a very similar dress to yours, you look lovely in it omg!!

suuuuch a cute vlog!! your outfit and vibes are impeccable as always ☺ your smile is so bright in the sun!!
this gave me so much seretonin THANK YOU MIKAN
Tokyo is a interesting place. It so alien and unusual to me but in a good way. I like countries like Japan that make me feel that way. It’s like when you walk through street’s and notice they cross into different world’s self-contained plane of existence, co-existing with one's own.
I hope to visit again one day
YESS! Yes I would.
I grew up in a place surrounded by corn fields and my town was famous for its corn. Every summer I want lots of corn, but I never taste any as good as my hometown. However, I'm betting the corn at that farm you went to is even better!!! 👌 the Japanese really grow with so much care and without all the short cuts taken in North America.
Glad you got to get out of your city and enjoy nature, I think I would lose my mind living in a large city!
Raw corn is so good! My papa grew green eggplant and my nana would fry it up. I could eat pounds of it!
I love your energy and excitement in this video. It reminded me of when I was kid picking cucumbers and squash in my Aunt and Uncle's garden. Less exciting when you are doing it daily in the summer with mosquitos all over.
This reminds me more of the Ghibli film Only Yesterday because you are so excited to be helping harvest lolll
my dad actually lives in a house, quite isolated from the rest of the village he's from and in the past few years he's created his own little paradise with a lovely garden to grow veggies, it's almost got a "Petterson and Findus" vibes (for those of you who know these books, I love you
aaaaaah i absolutely love the japanese countyside! this whole video was so fun ans relaxing to watch:))
That looks so beautiful
Mikan main character energy in this video 💖💖💖💝💝💝
I fully expect you now to move to the countryside and pump out kawaii cottagecore content 🌱 we’d be here for it.
Omggg yes love it girlie ❤❤❤❤❤❤
the house reminds me of the house from only yesterday
I'm so stressed because of my exams right now but this video took me to another place. It's so relaxing and comforting to watch!!
the vibe of this video is so cute; and yasu's lil 「凄い」 while u were looking at all the fruit/veggies was cute 笑
This looked like so much fun! Love seeing your adventures and hope to see more videos like this 💜
So wholesome xD
this vlog filled me with si much joy and happiness, thanks for sharing this day with us! I grew up in a village and now I live in the city so seeing the fields reminded me of my childhood
Your smile literally makes my day every time I see it. Your outfits all look incredible too! 😭❤
ミカン姉さんあなたはとてもかわいいです🥰💜インドからの愛🇮🇳💜🇯🇵
The ghibli film, “Only Yesterday” 🥺
you can just feel the refreshing energy even from this video!! such a nice vlog :)
Very fun and interesting video!! Glad you enjoyed your trip! Stay well💙
Mikan posing with corn reminds me of people who pose with fish they caught😂
you made me think of Mei in the field of corn 🥹
I love gardening and plants but I live in a student room without any outside space :( But I started volunteering at the botanical garden to get to do some gardening anyway!
Do you have allotments in your country? In UK the local council hires them out. You put your name on a waiting list and when it's your turn to have one it costs very little per year in fees. You can keep it for as many years as you want so long as you keep the weeds down and use it to grow food, people who neglect theirs have it taken off them and given to someone else. If you see allotments go look for a sign on the gate because there may be a phone number to call
@@dreamer6943 Ohh i think that does exist, that's a good idea :D I'm moving soon but I'll definitely look into it after that!!
Woah, my very own farm?! That's crazy!!😂
Once again a very interesting video, keep being awesome!!🥰
such a cute and wholesome video!!!
The dog is so cute 😍
beauty~爽やか~✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨👍👍👍👍👍👌
Mikan! You have inspired me ( as a 12yro) to want to go to bunka fashion college and stay in japan for as long as possible! You are my favourite youtuber because you went through experiences that i did and so! Thank you! I hope you reply
Hum ... Déjà vu somewhere ! 🌱🤔
I absolutely loved the video. I thought it was quite interesting to see what a Japanese farm looks like even though the produce wasn’t as different from European farms as I might have thought. Keep up the great content🥰❤️
Aaaahh, I love all your videos and I want to live a life like yours when I’m older. 😩
Thank you these 18 minutes of rest in the nature 🌾👒
This video gives me “only yesterday” vibes
Very pretty!
That looked like so much fun!🌽🍅
so early wow
Vina eating a tomato like an apple gives me life
I think living on a farm would be fun but QvQ as a city person who barely goes out I don't know if I would be able to .
This looks so fun! I would love to go veggie and fruit picking. He’s family is so kind as well \(^.^)/
i always enjoy watching your videos while im eating ^___^
❤
I‘m a city girl through and through as well, but once in a while I think it wouldn’t be so bad to live on the land and have more nature around me.
Here the people in small villages are said to be huge gossips though haha.
this was so cool!!
Does Japan have Pick-Your-Own farms open to the public like Kent in UK does? I used to go every summer to pick strawberries when I was a child, my parents would take us there for a day out. We ate them as we went round picking then took our full baskets to be weighed and pay the fee. Enough strawberries to last for a week! Happy times
Story of seasons
Mikan drop the makeup tutorial
Girlll where did you buy that adorable hat??💗💗💗
Her to listen to your voice for about 2 seconds you sound like a cartoon character
You look gorgeous💕😍

Fresh corn is SO GOOD and y'all got some real beauties. Bless those farmers, they work so hard for us city folk to have good eats. (*ơᴗơ)
