Today, we took a train from Varanasi to Lucknow
it was a first-class ticket, and we really enjoyed our journey. Our train was HWH ASR MAIL VARANASI TO LUCKNOW
We have had a wonderful time in Varanasi and are excited to arrive in Lucknow.
Varanasi (Vārāṇasī, Hindi: also Benares, Banaras (Banāras or Kashi (Kāshi is a city on the Ganges river in northern India that has a central place in the traditions of pilgrimage, death, and mourning in the Hindu world. The city has a syncretic tradition of Muslim artisanship that underpins its religious tourism. Located in the middle-Ganges valley in the southeastern part of the state of Uttar Pradesh, Varanasi lies on the left bank of the river. It is 692 kilometres (430 mi) to the southeast of India's capital New Delhi and 320 kilometres (200 mi) to the southeast of the state capital, Lucknow. It lies 121 kilometres (75 mi) downstream of Prayagraj, where the confluence with the Yamuna river is another major Hindu pilgrimage site.
Lucknow, a large city in northern India, is the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Toward its center is Rumi Darwaza, a Mughal gateway. Nearby, the 18th-century Bara Imambara shrine has a huge arched hall. Upstairs, Bhool Bhulaiya is a maze of narrow tunnels with city views from its upper balconies. Close by, the grand Victorian Husainabad Clock Tower was built as a victory column in 1881.

Air conditioner has to be very strong here to deal with Indian summers and extreme crowding of trains. Taking this into account, we always carry warm clothes when travelling by AC. It's better that the air conditioning is working a little harder than people feeling hot
@@chi-8289 I suppose you are not very informed about how AC works..If you set you thermostat to 20°C then it will maintain that temperature..If the weather is too hot then the compressor will run that much longer till the internal temperature gets to 20°C and then shut off. It won't keep running till hell freezes over..
Kaye pls get well soon and take a break to rest…. One advise…. Pls have khichdi when you are not feeling well in India… you will recover soon… its prepared with rice and dal. Its mild and very healthy

Take the "Vande Bharat" Trains to travel 300-600 km distance. They are good trains.

Rice is mixed with lentil soop and eaten together. That is how 99.99% Indians eat it. The dish is called daal(rice) chawal (rice).

I don't know how many days back this vlog was made. Two queries by you:
1. Dal is mixed with rice before it is consumed.
2. You can approach the coach attendant and ask him to adjust the temperature in the coach/ cabin.

The person to ask about aircon is the Coach Attendant. If you say stuff to the catering staff or other staff, it might not be communicated to the attendant.

You are paying for your stay and travel so you deserve the service, always speak to the higher authorities and for railways you have helpline where you can complaint if the attendant does not listen to you. Before boarding the train you should visit the station masters cabin.

Indian food is a heavy mixture of spices so there is always something with the curry to mix the blend of spices very well
So eat curry, dall, sak, mixing with rice roti or naan

You mix the dal (lentil soup) with the rice and eat it. Each scoop/bite would be a little bit of the potato curry + dal-mixed-rice.
Or eat the rice mixed with chicken curry/sauce.

Yes, lentils are meant to be eaten with rice. Rice and roti/chapatis are main dishes and you eat those with lentil soup, vegetables, curries etc.

well i am born & brought up in lucknow.. so i can say tht the chowk area ..imambada ..residency as well as the new part the parks biggest in asia..the malls one of the biggest in india .. .. the food ..kebabs and chickens & basket chats...the mixture of new and old tradition and the famous chikankari clothes..!!

We always mix one of thing with rice…like Dal, veg curry or chicken curry and eat. You are right if you eat only curry or dal then it’s slightly salty but as Gogo said when you mix it with rice then it balance the saltiness 😊 enjoy your trip. You mix the lentil in the rice, roti with vegetable or lentil or chicken. It’s a chapati not a roti, it’s pan made roti is tandoori made. For gogo, you will be getting different types of kebabs some bland, spicy or buttery. Go for a mix platter

That soup is called daal...i.e pulses called arhar daal...and be careful to your belongings.... because train routes are always in kind of area where no good people found they are like thieves...robbers...lyers argue and you are traveling in rural area pure rural peoples... they are not much educated

@@KayandGogo The 'technicians' maning the controls are mostly ignorant what AC should mean in terms of a comfortable temprature and are almost always argumentative if you try and explain to them. I usually carry newspaper and duct tape to deal with this situation. Most of my fellow passengers agree to what I do. If its too cold then its too cold for everyone, unless you have an Eskimo travelling with you. Stay cool..India is wonderful inspite of all its faults and quirks.
