My husband lived the the apartment right below. On our first date he asked me if I knew who John Dillinger was. He had to give me the story about his apartment building and how he lived right below where all of this happened. So cool!

I’m 17 now but when I was either 3 or 4 years old I lived in a house right next to it and my parents had creepy experiences and there used to be tunnels in the basement as well

Love it ! Wondering where there would be detail records of the Barker / Carpus robbery of the payroll delivery in South St Paul . One of my Uncles was in the restaurant across the street and said there where bullets sprayed all over the place.

Where was that? I remember hearing a story about how a homeowner in Mahtomedi was having some remodeling done and the crew accidently knocked through a wall. On the other side of the wall, old guns, booze and money were found. I think it was found to be the hideout of the Barker Karpis Gang.

Amazing. I am a big fan of Macabee's book DILLINGER SLEPT HERE. It makes one wonder if organized crime/ law enforcement relationships exist today. Because history does not repeat itself. People repeat history.

He's way too excited to talk about a violent organization. Would he have that tone if he was describing a regular street gang?!
Super weird. The glorifying of dangerous people is nauseating. So disrespectful.
