Well got started now on the tractor cab that you inspired me into doing.Nothing like doing it to really see the problems up close. But its nice to be doing the project.A lot is very similar to your build a few minor differences. Probably won't be doing much in lights and a heater is not easy on my old Kubota compact as it is gravity system- no pump.Difficult around the wheels! And difficult around that up/down arm and bucket control unit. Also the doors.Thanks for the inspiration Mr Green.Real nice project.

You ever look at what's called a "parking heater"? Come in gas or diesel variants so you can use the same fuel as the vehicle, and don't require a liquid cooled engine to work. They go from pretty cheap to really expensive. Biggest name is webasto, LOTS of knockoffs.
Probably way too late now because you probably already got a nice cab heater installed but anyway a really nice and cheap method would be to build a heater box around the tractor's exhaust manifold and then use a simple fan to blow air into the cabin
Now I'd like to see ya driving her with the heater going, out doing some work, perhaps showing the heater defrosting the window, did ya get a chance to test the heater/defroster? How'd it work out? I'm interested in knowing how the heater worked out
Ok I'll take some video next day it snows ..I've use the heater the other day when I was working in it doing wiring fog it up then started it with in 5 mins the windows were clear
The video where it says ( home made tractor cab part 5 finish product) on that home made tractor cab it looks like your missing one more thing, that is a good stereo system that make it sweet when you are working blowing snow or mowing grass in the summer months
As for the fan heating up the windshield, it should not, better to have the fan moved the air within the cab and keep the windshield cold to touch, so snow just fall off. Keeping the air flow within the cab will still keep the windshield from fogging up.
Maybe I missed it, but how does the frame attach to the tractor? Did you have to drill mounting holes, or were you able to use existing? Use anything to protect the tractor finish? Does it lift straight up to remove from the tractor? I built a cab 15 years ago for an off-brand tractor and always looked forward to the day when I could afford a good tractor and cab. I just got a new tractor but the price of a cab is crazy, so it looks like I'm back to building another cab. Won't be as elaborate as yours, though. Nice job.
Sorry don't no if I showed that I drilled four holes then there's four bolts that hold it on ..yes just take bolts off and it can be lifted off..I used foam for insulating water pipe and put that between the metals so it doesn't harm the paint ...good luck with your build
have you seen the blower kind that draws it while going forward, your good at this, an input down to the rear and or lift it so you have normal, did you see them, for ideas
It did ok but the hydrolic motor could not keep up to the amount of snow should have been a smaller blower to start like a 5 foot ...I sold that set up a little while back
You did not answer the guy asking about the Lexan thickness? Did you make the frame so you could fit 'standard' sizes of Lexan?Is the frame 1" or 3/4 " square tube? Any other general details about the construction materials?Well done - a super job.
I guess in Siberia, it gets pretty cold, hence the need for the cab to stay alive. Nice work and thank you for sharing.

Yopu should have a speed switch for the heater fan.

We're did you get the wiper I have a homemade door on my skid i made a manual wiper its a pain thanks in advance
I bought it on ebay it was $150 ya pricey but for the angle it needs no other wiper motor would work

1 inch square tubing I bought 4x8 sheets of 1/8 lexan should have use 1/4 inch but it's very expensive $500 for the lexan I used

It's lexan ..but yes over time it will but i will be replacing the front and back window with safety glass we i can afford it
