Sad. Just heartbreaking. Good video that captures the enormity of loss. Hurricanes are no joke.
Beautiful 😍
That house boat that was totally destroyed over on the bulkhead with the hatterass next to it. I made a full canvas top for the upper deck about 5 years ago. Shocking to see the damage.
Are you still in business? I’m gonna need a new Bimini top for my skiff soon.
Look at those big Searays. They’re upright not upside down. You’re correct houseboats are made for calm waters like lakes. Brunswick owns Freedom Boat Club and Searay.
Eight homes went up for sale in Eagle point park on Burnt store road last week making 16 homes in total looks like the retirees must be leaving Florida and moving back up north.
👍
Insurance will pay for it all .
That's crazy! Ian destroyed a marina in Cape Coral. Have a friend that has a boat, stuck in there. His is the only boat at that marina. Not sure why it hasn't been moved out
is it a good or very bad idea to look at storm damaged motor yachts to repair and have as a full time live aboard and how would we begin to look for a marina or other types of yards and the process to begin the search how much hull and other types of damage would you just not bother to look for it is so sad for the boat owners that have lost all
Probably somewhere in between definitely don’t get a swimmer.
the look on this mans face tells you all you need to know sad to see all there lives turned into nothing so quick
Tough to see, but I still want to move to PG.
Might be a good time to find some property along the river
Im finding it impossible to launch a boat as all the rampa to tge harbor seem destroyed...
The ramp on Edgewater and I think Lakeview is open. Spring Lake boat ramp is the name, maybe. It's right on Edgewater though
I do not see any boats with extra lines or looks of any preparation ... people didn't even take down the canvas
The think is that those hurricanes don’t affect too much rich people. The owner of the two sinking boats must be some rich guy who lost not too much. The sad thing must be for poor people living on mobile homes that were destroyed by the hurricane and are homeless now
Do you ever think that there are some retired people that sell their house and put all there retirement money in a boat don’t deserve sympathy…..your heartlessness is showing 😢
Poor people often live on boats too. I know many that do.
I went through this and worse in Hurricane Andrew in 1992, in south Miami. Lost my boat that was my live aboard home. So all the yachts don’t belong to “rich people”. As someone said in a comment here. We owned a sailing yacht 38’ instead of a land home. We did have insurance, that is now so hard and expensive to get. Regardless of politics. We MUST address climate change. It just keeps getting worse. Wake up people. You don’t fool with Mother Nature.
I read that around only 60% boats in Tampa area were insured in Helene & Milton. If that is true and you sink $90, 000 into a boat then why not insure it? Gambling for sure.
Yeah, like florida can afford to pay for all the damage done by hurricanes, donnie that is one stupid suggestion.
A floating marina is about a worthless during a hurricane as tits on a boar hog.
