- Set your phasers to "thrill" with this Nerdist Presents parody that explores classic Star Trek in the style of the pulpy B-movies that influence Quentin Tarantino. With shades of Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, and Inglorious Basterds, "Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek: Voyage to Vengeance" clips out the bloodiest, punchiest, killingest moments from The Original Series and recuts them in a style that Tarantino would approve of.

Bleeping 'Vulcan' was the best thing ever!
Notice how they bleeped just enough so you hear "bleep-n".
It's pathetic and childish and an insult to Star Trek.
@@Trev359 Not when you consider James Doohan was _told_ to say it that way in "Day of the Dove".
Delboy359 impressive, every word in that sentence was wrong.
@@Trev359 As as Star Trek fan since 1977, I must disagree with your conclusion.
Originally thought a Tarantino Star Trek was the dumbest idea ever. But now I'm sold. Make is so.
Absolutely not. His skills would be better used else where.
Infinite diversity in infinite combinations.
The Captains Log isn't the only wood he's packing. Lol Genius
Lol Uhura. Sending vibes on all frequencies. Lol or Scotty. Giving you all he’s got. In this final frontier, their prime directive is to kill.
Pure!
"Keep your ****** hands off me!!!"
"You're out of you ****** mind!"
Man, that wordplay with Vulcan made me laugh SO LOUD!!!
And it would work in so many ways...
"He got me with the *****n neck pinch!"
"I will probe her with the *****n mind meld."
This is genius. When Scotty said "Keep your [bleep]in' hands off me," I laughed so hard I missed the rest of the video, had to rewind, then did the exact same thing three more times. Whoever put this together deserves a raise.
"Is there a sign in front of my house that says 'Dead Klingon Storage'!?"
IIIOldSchooLIII I'm mr. Spock i solve problems
"You know why that sign isn't there?"
"Its because storing dead Klingons ain't my Vulcan Job!"
" I don't need you to tell me how f#cking good my Romulan Ale is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping she buys sh#t."
Aw, man, I just phasered Marvin in the face.
Why the F-ARF would you do that???
Love it! The red alerts on Scotty cracked me up. "He'll give you all he's got!"
Same here! LOL
That gets me belly laughing EVERY time!!!!
Not only the movie we want. It's the one we need.
It's the one we deserve!
🖖🖖🖖
Ironically, this is the show that NBC wanted Star Trek to be in the 60's.
Whos ship is this? ~ It's a shuttle, baby.
Whos shuttle is this? ~ It's Reds.
Who is Red? ~ Red is dead, baby. Red is dead!
Intrinia Studios But where is his pocket watch? 😄
All my condolences to the Shirt family.
Red should have worn a different color of shirt.
@@PsiQ"The way your daddy looked at it, that watch was your birthright. And he'd be damned if those ridged head Klingon bastards were gonna put their greasy hands on his boy's birthright."
Each and every man under my Starfleet command owes me one-hundred Klingon scalps. And I want my scalps.
Good luck getting them from Klingons. Klingons NEVER like it when someone Earther messes with their hairstyle!!!
that's why all the Klingons lost their Foreheads around the time of Kirk's reign
I lost it when they bleeped Scotty saying Vulcan XD
Pulp Science Fiction!
Yesss!
Mexican Standoff in space.
not science Pulp fiction?
"Hand me my tricorder. It's the one that says 'Bad Mother Vulcan' on it."
It looks more like Pulp Science Friction!
I'm not gunna lie-- I would see this movie!
Me too! =)
Now this is a Me Too movement I can get behind!
I'd pay real Quatloos to see that film! Ha.
I would view the hell outta this movie!!!
It's all on Netflix lol
Star Trek (TOS) = the best thing to ever grace television (for my money). This video = the best thing I've ever seen on RUclips. Absolutely brilliant.
Now that was a Royale trailer. With extra cheese.
Should be a HIT period
Comma KHAN
Hee! Extra "cheese"
I wonder what a Klingon would call a Quarter Pounder ... an appetizer?
I use the metric system
I can't lie, this needs to be made.
DUDE. If Tarantino's Trek is this good. It will ROCK.
So extraordinarily clever! Your Trek lore and Quintenspeak is spot on. Great editing and imagination. Kudos to you.
I hope the man Tarantino himself sees this. This is too good. I HAD to show my dad.
Omg, we'd be honored if he saw it!
This is fantastic. You found every gratuitous zoom (and _every_ glistening drop of sweat) that TOS has to offer. Kudos.
I hope somebody has shown this to QT.
the captain's log isn't the only wood he's packing... roflmao
This is by far the best thing I've found on RUclips in forever lol
this is amazing! I love the pre-remastered footage!
Thanks for watching, William!
And you know, my name is Khan! When I lay my vengeance upon thee!
I love it. These were the commercials that were needed in the sixties. Loads of fun.
Props to the guys who put this together, sheer brilliance (you need a payrise)
Captain Kirk
The Captains Log isn't the only wood he's packing
Mr. Spock
Half Vulcan
Half Human
Full Killing Machine
Bones
This Doctor is the real McCoy
Uhura
Sending out Vibes on all Frequencies
Sulu
Deadly at the Helm, even Deadlier with a Blade
Chekov
One Badass Mother Russian
Scotty
He'll Give You All He's Got
Hydrogen One don't forget Chekov, one badass mother-Russian.
Hydrogen One I DIED at Scotty’s one😂😂 I can hear his voice saying “I’m givin it all I got captain!” 😂😂😂🙌🏽
Yep that was indeed what they said.
Word for word.
Good comment ;).
Great contribution to the conversation ;)
Bea-MT, Yeah I made an Error, but easily corrected.
Why are you quoting lines from the video? Hopefully, everyone who comments has seen it.
Very well done. Congrats to the writing and editing teams.
Thanks so much! Our post-production team is the BEST.
"You're out of your *expletive* mind, Spock!" Best bleeping of the word Vulcan ever.
"What" ain't no planet I ever heard of. Do they speak English in What?
DO THEY SPEAK KLINGON IN WHAT?!
"WHAT DOES KHAN NOONIEN SING LOOK LIKE?!?"
@@WhenYouveGoneGuru he's a super human
@@WhenYouveGoneGuru does he look like Benedict Cumberbatch?
While I'm old enough to remember the original airing of the old series I am a lifelong fan and this preview is absolutely PERFECT!!! My complete hysterics made my wife come in to check to see if I was alright I was laughing so hard! Thank you!!!
Thanks so much for the kind words!
I came into Trek in the 80's.. 6pm dinner crew airing. Should be fun to see what Tarantino actually decides to do with his Trek film. Like the guy or not he does try to stay true to period style with his own twist
It should be treated as non canon or maybe get Q involve?
jaspr1999 I grew up with watching star trek I still watch it every chance I get
I was laughing so hard, I think I woke the neighbor's kid!
I like the bleeps over "Vulcan". LOL
"the captains log isn't the only wood he's packing" LMAO!!
I could trust Tarantino to reinvent that 60's style for modern times, Awesome trailer voice over guys! :)
Big fan of the original series since 1974. This is a masterpiece of editing and art!! So good!! So funny!!
that's perfect
Well, we'd have to be talkin' about one charming mother****ing Horta.
And I don't even know which v*****n end it's v****n feet are _on._
That gets an 11. I watched the first episode as a boy. Love this tribute.
These were one of the best 2 and a half minutes of my life.
:D
Mission accomplished!
I'm still wiping tears from my eyes. Loved it! That was absolutely BRILLIANT!
I watched this 4 times already and it goes into my "awesome editing" playlist. Mr. Caron, I tip my hat to you.
Matt Caron that was editing GOLD! You took the outdated cheesiness of 60s Star Trek and made it uber cool. Kudos to the voiceover guy too!
Calling something "outdated" is a purely detracting and superficial way of pointing out how it represents the era in which it was made, a factor which should never be considered an imperfection. Imagine making a show in 1966 just to call it "outdated" over 50 years later. You're essentially saying it's too indicative of its time period to be any good, which is kooky talk. And no, 60s Star Trek is not "outdated," but deliciously 60s. To this day, it remains one of the most iconic, influential, and important TV shows of all time. Star Trek may be "cheesy" to a certain extent, but not any moreso than other shows of the time. And for some people, the so-called "cheesiness" is what makes the show so entertaining to watch. I for one enjoy the tongue-in-cheek humor and colorful production design. Besides, whatever "cheesiness" is present in the original Star Trek is purely superficial. The show takes itself pretty seriously, while occasionally finding time to joke around. It can be completely ridiculous without being self-aware. It delivers strong performances, intriguing plots, exciting action scenes, and moral quandaries which continue to be relevant to the present day. Not to mention, saying that Matt Caron "made it uber cool" doesn't hold a lot of water, considering that the show was already pretty cool.
The comments on this video are top tier.
I'd pay $100 for a movie ticket if Quentin Tarantino actually produced a movie like this and released it. Best parody of Star Trek on utube
That was V@#$*N fantastic!
The appropriate, Tarantino-esque reaction. ;)
Say Beam Me Up again! I dare you!
I just can't wait for the fifteen minutes of dialog over Tri-D chess and replicator coffee, no tip.
Silliness aside, Roddenberry himself once said that Star Trek wasn't a space story, it was a story about people that happened to be in space.
If Tarantino is good at anything, it's conflict among opposing parties. Slap a space backdrop on that, and you've got his Star Trek.
Jeremy Higgins Best comment.
Star Trek is drama with a sci-fi setting. Not these Michael Bay style action filled - just because nonsense.
But what Tarantino is absolute shit at, is telling positive, hopeful stories...which is what Star Trek was. Trek REALLY doesn't need more violence, gore and psychopaths.
This pairing is one of the most idiotic ideas ever to come out of Hollywood.
I have basically quit watching almost all TV and movies because everyone seems to think that the more uncomfortable and angry the conflict, the better. Tarantino is great because he can write conflict that isn't constantly exploding in your face, but is always moving. And his dialog is pretentious without feeling pretentious. It's perfect.
Stormsinger99 Oh fuck off. It was a cool TV SHOW, AND WHEN I GO TO THE DRIVE IN I WANT VIOLENCE AND GREEN TITTS!!!
My dilithium crystals are reenergized.
This was so amazingly well-done. My favorites: the black and white still of Bones, and Scotty "seeing red" like The Bride before decking the Klingon. You melded the ST characters with Tarantino's penchant for intensity and cynicism seamlessly! Bravo, I say!
Tarantino REALLY need's to make the next one. Robert Rodriguez, the one after. Including intergalactic gun toting Mariachi's. Call it, " Star Trek: Once upon a time in the universe." I'd watch it!
Awesome!, well made. The Scotty scene is a magnum opus.
I expected total crap, just because I thought the chances weren’t very good something like this would be that good. I was completely surprised. Excellent work. Very funny and true to both.
*I would pay the living hell to see this Movie !*
*Its Glorious !* 👌👌👌
@Nerdist I've got to hand it to you, I nearly pissed myself watching this. Superb job. Quentin better hire your ass!
Kirk: I just phasered Lt. Marvin in the face.Spock: The way you were holding it was highly illogicalMcCoy: He's dead, Jim.
I laughed so hard!! Thanks!! Just what an old country doctor ordered!
"Scotty's gonna give you all he's got" - that sounds like a different sort of Star Trek film. Chicka bow-wow :)
This is really well edited... someone call Tarantino, you did it for him!
This was beautiful
Thanks for watching, Nick!
I could just picture it now, Khan is dancing to the song "Stuck in the Middle of you" while a Ceti eel burrows through Chekhov's ear.
Suddenly this doesn't seem like such a bad idea after all...
Loved how Scotty is shown as having a bride-esque freak out moment after that guy said that the Enterprise should be hauled off as garbage... Lol
My favorite clip. I love all theory and creativity that went into this. Please make more
Holy mother of god I want to see this made
"The Captain's log is not the only wood he's packing!" - LOL
you win an entire internet for that video.
This video is perfect.
Please make more like it.
Probably the best video I have ever seen in youtube... I loved it and it fits😅
This was hilariously awesome! Good job!
Quentin Tarantino has this particular magic touch -- he can come up with an idea I hate to hear about, and turn it into a movie I love to watch. That is real creativity.
just spit my coffee up laughing so hard...you have to do this!!!
great job on this video. it gets the mojo going for sure.
This won the internet.. Game over man.. Game OOover.
Better than re-imagined reboots. What fun to re-cut and re-mix more of these and other old shows.
This made my morning! Thank you. Love QT and Grindhouse.
Thanks for watching, Jorge! Happy Monday.
This is beyond amazing
I would pay good money to see this movie! Point me to the nearest drive-in! (lol). Brilliant stuff! Actually, I won't be able to see certain scenes in quite the same way again. And some of the comments below. Some of the funniest stuff I've seen in a while. Beautiful. Made my day.
Tarantino' s Star Trek could honestly turn out to be just reassembled pre-existing footage from the original series, arranged into a 2 & 1/2 hour film, throwing in his usual soundtrack picks and I would still willingly pay money to see that in theaters
I want this. I really want this.
FU#%ING AWESOME!!! This is the best thing I've seen all year!!!
The decision to put a revving V8 over footage of the enterprise is amazing
well that was way better than i expected, now i kinda wish is was real!
One word. BRILLIANT!!!!!
You cheered me up man. Thank you so much. I laughed so hard. You should win an award for that
Best Editing, Best Wordplay, Best Trek Tribute!
You are out of you Vulcan mind!!!!!!!!!!! love it
Lol, that was f******g hilarious! Just brilliant! McCoy's face! 😂
I prefer Orson Welles' Star Trek. A dying Kirk lets drop a miniature ship encased in crystal and whispers, "Enterprise."
Best thing I’ve seen on RUclips for a long time!!!😂 Genius
Quentin would f**kin' luv this !!
LEMMY K. IS GOD * V***an love this.
one word: amazing
„There‘s only one thing I want.“
„Revenge, captain?“
„Why not?“
Best lines Tarantino never has written.
I'm not a big Tarantino fan, but that was pretty funny......they wanted to bring the galaxy peace, but they brought it their pieces.
This was amazing! I love both Tarantino AND the original Star Trek series!! I absolutely died when he said “Scotty, he’ll give you all he’s got” 😂😂😂 haha all I hear was Scotty yelling “I’m givin it all I got captain!” Omg this was the best thing I’ve ever watched!
I would pay actual money to see that
As a Star Trek fan since I was a 9 years old kid in early 77, and a lover of instrumental surf since before Pulp Fiction, this is absolutely priceless! Better than Tarantino could have done!!!!
This is incredible!
Holy crap this is awesome.
