You don't need to make money to scam someone. Deliberately using false or deceptive marketing to generate buzz around your product, in order to convince people to buy it when it releases, would be a scam.
@@hyde5295 Id disagree, false advertising falls under the scam umbrella. Scam means a dishonest scheme, or fraud thats the google definition. And false advertising is fraud.
Steam can actually give you a refund under 2 hours playtime. It's not as though it's a Fallout 76 situation, where they deny you refunds on their own platform.
You can get a refund in some cases even if your playtime is over 2 hours. The main difference is that after 2 hours of playtime it's not a guaranteed refund, if it's something like you have 3.5 hours but 2 hours were in a queue your chances are a lot better.
no asset flips, but everybody found asset flips in their trailers and gameplay with proof of the assets with price and stuff. they didnt even change the color. i mean they could bought them but still then make them other colors or what ever but just take them and put them right in the game. now they saying they are not asset flipping, but got busted in 2h that there where asset flips now they say that didnt happen? i dont get it. tell the truth wtf. always lying. got busted and still lying doesnt make sense to me tbh.
Not defending one bit, but they might have changed them for the release, this game is going to be scrutinized like no other thanks to their failed marketing and shady stuff.
@@vanquest5341 I actually agree here too. Game took criticism like no other, high probability of assets being redone or changed in some way. But who knows, FNTASTIC already has a shady history before their first launch 😅
also if I'm not mistaken most games still use purchased assets of some sort, its pretty hard to tell exactly how many assets were purchased though. I know the vehicles were the main source of the flip but even then its still hard to tell exactly how many assets they chose to use or just make themselves

okay let me say it like that, im hoping im totaly wrong about everything i said really i pray for that. but i also learnd to ask more questions over the time with game dev, even if they really get hate. and not doing better they gonna get more hate you know what i mean. i cant do the same stuff over and over again and expect diffrent results. its in every aspect of life where you can say that phrase
u guys are al on copium dear lord all the signs where there that its a scam game , gaming community needs to get a grip and stop ignoring the red flags holyyyyyyyyyyyyy
I think being optimistic about game releases isn't a bad thing by any means, it's just the hobby we love and we wanna see it succeed. Would always rather hope for success than failure. Unfortunately this game sucked

or you know, just wait for it to release. that goes both for not wasting your money falling for a scam and riding a bandwagon calling it a scam right away.
Id agree in some circumstances but unfortunately the way they marketed will put them on a much higher standard than most games now. Even if it is super good, the few flaws it has will be picked to shreds by a lot of people, no matter what it suffers a potential playerbase loss
