I can't even express how much this video (especially the end) affects me. Been trying to publicize how much we need this ship. It appears in this era of "globalization" we have no pride left in our country. How much money do both parties waste in the government, and even a portion of the obscene salaries of current corporate executives could save this monument to American ingenuity.
I've always been fascinated by the ocean liners of way back when. And the United States is one that absolutely is the last of her kind. #Savethe SSUnitedStates
Here's a really good idea: why not allow each state to 'buy in' for fractural ownership of this iconic ship, then restore and refit it for use to help house some of the veterans from each state that are either homeless, or just need temporary assistance. The ship could also serve as a floating VA hospital ship, and serve the east coast helping veterans at each port of call that are scheduled for the specialized care that can be provided. This historic ship is as long as the Chrysler building is tall, so there would be plenty of room to house both a fully staffed modern medical center, and a place for veterans in need. Some of the veterans might need rehabilitation, recovery from mental stress and disorder, or might just use the ship to relocate to another part of the US to another state's port of call. Either way, this fine ship would still be with us, restored, commissioned, and be put to good use for the American people. Such a plan makes good sense, as the structure itself would not have to be built. The ship itself is available already, it only requires funding for insightful renovation and people with enough imagination and determination to make it all possible. PJM
@@SilverRailClub although it’s a great idea on paper, it’s impractical in practice. I doubt the states would even care about the ship, and the costs would outweigh the benefits

Tommorow is her last day before her date is decided
