@pattie haney I can't answer for Oliver, however he did show us a few videos of Raya and her first family, but nothing too detailed. What we did see is that Raya is one of 8 puppies! There were 4 boys and 4 girls born in her litter.
She was born into a very large litter and she was in a kennel in her birth home in Sicily. Probably with that many potats and not much contact with her birth mother, Raya of course latches on to any older female dog for mom-treatment.
Love how Raya uses her feet for those very cat-like bunny-kicks when she and Suki were playing outside. She is very flexible to be able to bend like that.

Raya really wants suki as her playmate , female to female vibes ! Or she just misses her mom's love , same with suki , she Maybe misses her puppies too ! they have the same feeling as daughter and mom ! They will be best of friends forever !
Suki does a lot on her own and Raya goes between Shiro and Suki. Shiro will often go to Raya but Raya has to go to Suki. Shiro and Suki pretty much don't hang out with each other unless they are in a confined space. In every video when left to their own devices, they don't choose to be around each other. I think Raya treats Suki like her surrogate mother, as she came from a large litter and probably saw her mother rarely before she got rehomed here.
Raya, you need to learn NOT to bite Suki's cheeks - she doesn't like it and only tolerates it because she loves you. Mlerms would go over better than sharko bytes.
I don’t think Suki really minds it. She’s usually quite vocal if she doesn’t like it like when Yori or Mashu would bite her tail or leg and she’d snap.
