wow I assumed you had planned this from the start but then I saw your reply further down and you made this on a whim in like an hour? Iconic Edit: also the multiple inclusions of everytime we touch lol
I really desperately want an “every time Drawfee makes an ‘every time we touch’” joke compilation but that’d probably take longer to finish than a doctorate degree. I’d do it myself if I knew the first episode it appeared in.
I was hoping this would have Nathan's "stop calling stop calling i don't want to talk anymore. I left my phone on the phone at the phone place" I've been looking for it for a while
I honestly think they started referencing Cascada more after Jacob asked them to stop, because I never noticed when they'd make that joke before then. But now every time they reference it, I wait for Jacob's response... AND--
i hear “one hand in my pocket” a lot because it’s on the playlist i put on with my dad, and every time i want to sing “i got one hand in my pocket, and the other one is pettin’ a catboy”
The phrase combination "everytime we" is extremely common and not all of them end in a cascada event. But whenever a cascada is about to happen i get a tingle on the back of my neck. And i just KNOW
The thing I love about drawfee song lyric references like these is that they cater heavily to late 90s and mid 2000s music, essentially pushing out anyone else who didn't know the music scene. I sometimes wonder someone younger watching one of these videos and not understanding a word they're saying!
eh, when they make references that make them laugh it makes me laugh even if I have no idea what they're referencing. Sometimes I feel like it's funnier that I don't know what they're talking about. I'm 17
julia's really good at hearing patterns of rhythm in words and recognizing them as something completely unrelated, giving us gems like gradient jumpscare and togedemaru
imo a lot of julia’s best bits are her making logic/pattern jumps no one else made with her. like saying au gratin potatoes are “the caprese salad” of potato dishes.
Unfortunately the "Every Time We Touch" bit has entered my vocabulary and I have been menacing my friends with it, but now they're picking up on it as well. The contagion spreads.
Amazing video! Gonna mention some I love as well: The Sting/The Police bits, from the new yorker comics episode, I believe And there's the many 'Saaaaandy' bits, I don't remember which episodes they're from but bahagahahah (There's one in the episode in which Nathan draws Karina's Neopets, the episode is the one in which they draw their favorite ships, I think) Edit: And also 'baby gonzo.... walking down the street!'
This is INCREDIBLE. Like genuinely, I would have never thought like half of these were even song references! Thank you this is one of the best Drawfee compilations ever!
The way I was just thinking the other day that I need a reference guide for all the times when Drawfee does song lyrics bits so I can make a spotify playlist, and then here it was on my recommended page this morning. You're a legend and an icon fr.
It's been ages and I _still_ to this day can't select the gradient tool in Krita without thinking about that stupid bit xD Great comp, annalise, and thank you for taking the time to timestamp each reference individually, that's dedication right there
I foolishly assumed that Cupid's Chokehold was the song they were referencing, but I suppose it's up for debate! I edited the description to include both!
Not in this comp but could anyone PLEASE tell me in what video they referenced Blink 182 "I miss you" specifically the lyrics "where are you and I'm so sorry" and ofc "Hello there, the angel from my nightmare. The shadow in the background of the morgue. The unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley" I can't find it and it's driving me insane
I think maybe one of the "drawing lyrics" vids?? I also can hear it in their voices, so I know it happened, but that's my best guess. If it's another vid I have no clue.
I haven't listened to Sugar we are going down but my first instinct is down by the river from BG3. I am sure it will go in their reference in the future .
The song at 12:17 I think is actually a reference to the original song Breakfast in America by Supertramp. Gym Class Heroes just sampled that part of the song.

You are a total rockstar for this. There's not enough Cascada, but this will do.
As a Kevin, I thank you for the playlist so I can understand that first segment
I was just thinking I should do a youtube playlist on this. Beat me to it
I really desperately want an “every time Drawfee makes an ‘every time we touch’” joke compilation but that’d probably take longer to finish than a doctorate degree. I’d do it myself if I knew the first episode it appeared in.
My goal was to get them all, but I think it may be truly impossible so I started just from the beginning of 2023 lol
theres one!!! Look it up!!! I love it
@@gh.stb12rd I've seen it, I very much doubt it gets all of them. It's like 5 minutes long.
Bro I’m right here… it’s not all of ‘em, but I think I got pretty close

Julia's "gradient jumpscare" referencing "radioactive" is somehow even further of a reach than her Togedemaru/Edge of Tomorrow joke.

Banger comp as always, though
It ends her life, knife

And every time Drawfee references a song I DO know, I swear I could fly
And every time we kiss
the combination of "ice old" "what's older than being old?" "fellas," playing all at the same time is kind of the best

2023- “we said we aren’t doing that joke this year.”
