Monday mornings mixed media piece - Week 19

- Every Monday morning (my Monday morning, it may perhaps be at another time by you) I will do whatever I fancy to do in my altered book. I will se this as a opportunity to play, experiment and challenge myself.
Making books and altering books is one of my passions. This is an old children's book I have been altering, so I can use it for my mixed media pieces, instead of heaving loose pieces lying around in my house.

You don’t seem to be very pleased with this work, but I really find it stunning! It looks like some kind of pillars that are reflected on the water, although you didn’t use blue. The colours are really, really beautiful, and I find it very unique 🤎🧡🤎🧡🤎🧡🤎🧡🤎🧡🤎🧡
Thanks Alexandra. I do like the technique and the look of the piece But I had granulated watercolors in my head and this technique is not very suited for those. One lesson learned 😊
Thanks so much for sharing your process, all the beautiful results, and I love seeing your ever changing collection of awesome rings. ❤
Thank you and Thank you
I told her the same thing recently. She has some many beautiful, unique rings.
Thank you for your Monday Morning video it is a joy to start the week with such an inspiration. Have a fabulous week!!
Thanks and the same to you
Appreciating an artwork is understanding the creative process. It's wonderful to see ur pieces come alive. To me, this represents the skyline of a futuristic city reflected on water. Tak, Lisbeth.
Thanks and you’re welcome
This piece is very inspiring. It may be my love of city scapes and reflections that makes it so appealing. I admire your ability to know when to keep going and when to stop.
Thank you, and that isn’t the easiest thing to k ow when to stop. Very hard to explain
Looks like a riverside! I’m really enjoying your Monday sessions. Merci
Nice to hear, thanks
It reminds me of the road where I walk a lot, next to water with a lot of high grasses and the black squares are like your stitches😊💖🍀
Yes I think once’s marks often relate to once’s stitches, quite funny.
I love this. It’s the kind of photo composition I like to take - dark, moody reflections. But I’m definitely going to try something in watercolour. Thank you for sharing, thank you for the inspiration 🙏😍❤️
Thanks and you’re welcome
As I watch you this morning I wanted to give you a big thank you for the inspiration you have given me. I just finished my version of the 100 day challenge. I had never done anything like this before and I learned so much. So thank you.
Congratulations with your 100 day project. Hope you had a great experience. Thank you.
Everything you do is magical!
Thank you
Hi Lisbeth...oooh I love this. I only started my watercolour journey a few months ago and still only have basic materials. It's wonderful to see your process and be inspired - so thank you xxx I see what Nelia sees... Hugs from The Netherlands xx Paulla (from Makers/PMArtistStudio group) xxxxx
Hi Paulla, nice to see you here. There are so many rabbit hole and watercolor is one of them. I am no expert but I like to play and splash around with them.
I never thought of to use watercolour like this, you are so creative with all sort of mediums,i really like it🎨🖌️
Thank you
Lisbeth, there is a surface preparation/primer called "watercolour ground" made by Daniel Smith,it comes in many colours including black,it can be applied to any surface such as wood, and then that surface can be painted on with watercolours (Matt)
Thanks for telling me 😊
So glad I stumbled upon your channel. Really like this piece. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks and welcome here
Experiment gelungen. Sehr schöne Farbkombination. 👋👋

🙏
I like it as well
🙏
You come up with so many clever ideas! This is lovely!
Thank you
Thank you! It does remind me of a skyline, but it could also be an a forest on an alien world, far, far away...😊
There is room for many interpretations 😊
I LOVE everything that you do, but I have a family member who is dying and don’t have the mind to follow right now. I will be able to get everything in your video file yes?
Just wanted you to know I am a BIG fan of your work and I will watch everything later. Your work is fantastic ❤️❤️
Thank you and take care of yourself too. The videos will be there for you when you’re ready
That was a fun little experiment. I wonder why the paint didn’t granulate?
Thanks, to little water and not enough space for each color, I think
