They need to make it worth the gold to star up characters. As of now the Stat increase is worth it
Road to Rivendell team would be a flavour fit for the unlock requirement.
You can refresh campaign energy 3 times a day for 50 gems a pop. After that it goes up to 100, which I’ve never spent.
Already looking forward to witch king, I’m assuming this unlock will be road to rivendale
As a F2P player I’m aiming for the second go around. I just hope the gear requirement isn’t that harsh for the event like SWGOH

You can also work hard in real life, earn some bucks, and then spend it on the 2 marquees you are gonna need at 5* for the event.
For me this game not worth spending any money on I've played lord of the rings online way better lotr experience

I’m FTP in these games - you may want to go that path as well if spending on speciation gets you upset.
